Just right for three days of exploring the region, while we were based in this surprisingly comfortable establishment. The accommodation is a part of a large complex that serves as a convention or conference center, in a country setting. It was very quiet. We had a lovely view across a meadow with cows, from huge windows and a balcony. The spacious room is well appointed, not in a luxurious but in a comfortable way, with a kitchen that served us well since we like to shop at the store and prepare our own. The location is at a ten-minute drive from “downtown” (such as it is…}. There is a restaurant on the premises, we did not visit it.

It provides modern rooms, some of which feature a wood burning fire and private outdoor spa. New Plymouth city center is a 5-minute drive from One Burgesshill. New Plymouth Airport is only a 15-minute drive away. Each studio and apartment features heating, flat-screen satellite TV and a DVD player. They are equipped with a microwave, a mini-fridge and an electric stove top with 2 hobs. Some come with a spa bath and air-conditioning. Guest laundry and BBQ facilities are available. Breakfast and dinner can be delivered to your room. It is a 5-minute drive to local restaurants. Our modern restaurant café is overlooking the beautiful Waiwakaiho River and native bush. We offer brunches, lunches, small plates and dinner menu.
