Everything was great. There was enough milk, tea, coffee as well as laundry powder and dishwashing tablets. If I needed clean towels or the bed made that was no problem. The room was very spacious, the beds were very comfortable and we loved the shower!

If you want a better choice of restaurants and shops close by I would recommend Mount Maunganui just the other side of the water a lot more going on here in the evenings and more choice of good restaurants

The CBD seems alright, can be explored on foot.
The CBD seems alright, can be explored on foot. The highlight of our trip was Mt Maunganui. The Mount Hotpools was wonderful (pricey though), beautiful tiles, water and view. And the stretch of the Maunganui beach was just beautiful. We picked one far away from the centre (and towards Papamoa) where there was lifeguard, and truly enjoyed the waves for hours. It a great place for families who love spending time in the open water.

It is a travel destination that I definitely want to visit at least once a year. I would like to recommend that you climb Mount Manganui and take a hot spring bath in the salt springs. I can't forget the size and taste of Copenhagen ice cream across from the salt springs. Playing in the water or walking on the beach are healing points that cannot be missed. There are plenty of bars and places to eat, the city is pleasant enough although access to the harbour is limited and the whole place is overshadowed by its proximity to Mt Maunganui and its fabulous beaches.

We enjoyed being able to use the guest lounge area as well. Breakfasts were fabulous with plenty of choices - a great way to start the day. We found the location great for doing day trips (by car) to Maunganui, up towards Coromandel and down to Rotorua. Also enjoyed being able to walk to a local restaurant. WIFI connection was amazing, rooms and facilities were clean. There is a full kitchen so we were able to cook everything we needed. Host provide all the essentials like milk, tea, coffee, eggs, salt and pepper and continental breaky. Will definitely stay again. On top of everything this place was great value for money and probably the cheapest accomodation in Tauranga area.
