Loved the location, always wanted to stay here...wanted to walk beside the water + very relaxing atmosphere in the hotel. Lovely room, comfortable bed. Bit weird when milk for the tea was brought up to our room in a glass...no jugs available?? Maybe put a small tetra pack in the fridge?? Loved that there is such a good restaurant attached...great dinner and very accommodating wait staff + chef.
Featuring stylish rooms with a double spa bath, flat-screen satellite TV and an iPod dock, Nice Hotel is located next to the historic St. Mary’s Church.

Really great hotel, in a very handy location. Quirky but extremely well appointed and comfortable. Didnt get a chance to dine at the restaurant but it looked great also and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The biscuits to accompany a coffee were appreciated.

New Plymouth was just fantastic. It is a stunning place to visit - beautiful coastal walks - fantastic art works right throughout the city and the most exquisite gardens. I totally loved New Plymouth and will certainly return.

We loved the location of the Millimium being waterfront and so handy to great cafes shops boutique breweries amd galleries which all we tried were found to be exceptional. Plus we loved the direct access to the board walk to the port past an impressive swimming pool complex then later walked along the pathway in the other direction the Fitzroy beach which had a cafe and outdoor setting on the beach. The whole city seemed safe and attractive and a great place to visit and probably a great place to live.

Good sized room and ensuite.
Good sized room and ensuite. All absolutely spotless and very comfortable. Useful facilities.
Nicely positioned off the main road so nice and quiet but close enough to walk to shops and restaurants. Not too far to coast with beaches and coastal path. Friendly and helpful owner with a good knowledge of area and enthusiasm when recommending things to see and do.

At first wasn’t too sure about New Plymouth but the more we walked around the city the more we liked it. It’s a very tidy city with lots of amazing murals painted on buildings, tidy and clean with every shop you could think off. It is handy to the foreshore and a beautiful walkway and within a few hundred metres from beautiful Pukekura Park on other side of township, a must visit.

The people make the difference at the Metrotel! While the rooms are amazing, and we were very comfortable, the exceptional service started prior to my journey when I spoke with Shay who was able to accommodate my request and made be feel like a VVIP - very, very important guest! The hotel was central to the locations we needed to get to during our visit to New Plymouth and the room we had was large, extremely comfortable and airy! I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat!
A beautiful self-contained flat with everything you hoped for a leisure and relaxed holiday away from the central area of town but yet not too far away. It was set on a life style 2.5 acres block with added bonus of an outdoor spa bath which is nice to have a soak in after a full day out ! Hosts Ron and Sue are very nice and helpful in providing good advice on local information . I will definitely recommend it anyone !
Pool water was misty instead of clear to the degree that I couldn’t see to tumble turn during swimming. The spa pool was lovely though.
Great variety of food available and cafes, restaurants within easy walking distance too.
Proximity to the coastal walkway was excellent.
A pleasant surprise to hear we had been upgraded to a deluxe. Nice touch for our 1st visit to New Plymouth.
Excellent location, good off street covered car parking, spacious and comfortable room.
The concept behind the hotel itself, and the connection with fabulous bars, eateries, shopping, the art gallery and the waterfront all within an easy stroll makes staying here a wonderful experience. Our main regret is that we didn’t stay for longer!
Really great value for money. The room was very clean and liked having a kitchen sink etc which is more than what you get at a lot of hotels and motels. Really great location, just a short walk to the beach, supermarkets and eating establishments. Would absolutely stay here again.
The property was very well maintained and had a stunning pool area and our room was amazing with a large spa bath. The staff were so lovely and upgraded us to a suite when we arrived. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel in their restaurant and both meals were delicious
The apartment was very clean on arrival, the situation was perfect for us, we wished to be nearer the city centre in New Plymouth. The beds were so comfortable, which after such long flights was good news! The apartment was equipped well and suited our lifestyle well.
Fantastic value compared to a standard "nice" room in a hotel, you got a luxury apartment with all the bells & whistles. Spa bath double shower, electric reclining sofa, kitchen, 50 channels of sky, your own carpark ... the list goes on.
Location is excellent. We could walk to the waterfront, the mall, the supermarket. Off street parking right outside our door. The Spa bath was real luxury. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Great value for money. The hotel is well-maintained, centrally located within walking distance to shops and restaurants and the renovated pool area is great. Lots of parking and friendly staff.
The whole hotel is absolutely beautiful, probably one of the nicest hotel rooms we have ever stayed in.
Will definitely be booking again next time we are in New Plymouth.
Great motel. Comfortable. Clean. A sense of luxury. Walking distance to downtown & the waterfront walkway.
We will come back here when next in anew Plymouth.
