We stayed 3 nights in Blenheim in February. The city itself is not too big but cosy. There are some beautiful parks and gardens. Breathtaking mountains views. Runway cafe on the way to Blenheim airport was quite nice. Food was delicious. Most of the time we spent exploring nearby areas. A lot of good wineries around for degustation and lunch. We travelled to Picton ( 30 min by car). Had a cruise there. Plenty of cafes on the waterfront. Visited the impressive Omaka aviation heritage centre. "Muscles pot" restaurant in Havelock was nice. Would be great if we had at least one more day to visit more places in the Marlborough region.

Opted not to hire car which I would probably change when visiting again although we did manage with walking to city centre and and utilising shuttles to get out to Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre. Omaka is an absolute jewell. We were here for Garden Raupara Springs so transport otherwise not an issue for us. We were close to a Countdown and Bamboo Garden Restaurant which was fabulous and we also visited a Japanese Restaurant. Had our wine tasting at the gardens so did not visit winery; we come from West Auckland also a hub of wineries so we were happy with just the tasting at the garden event. The shuttle who took us to Omaka was happy for just a pick up call and then took us to a garden centre for a quick look around. Very obliging! Of course I bought a plant and took it back to Auckland. Thanks for a lovely stay, can't recommend Blenheim enough!

Love the climate, scenery, lovely cafes and restaurants,...
Love the climate, scenery, lovely cafes and restaurants, attractions, amazing array of vineyards and wine-tasting, good selection of retail shops, fabulous Easter Airshow (every two years), variety of places to stay, beautiful parks for walks or exercise with gorgeous flowers and trees, close to Nelson, Kaikoura for other places to visit while staying in Blenheim, easy to drive around. Loved Wither Hills Vineyard for wine tasting and lunch, recommend Raupo Restaurant for a lovely dinner, and totally enjoyed the very authentic and excellent quality Mexican fare from Little Amigos restaurant and takeout.
Everything was wonderful- the setting amid vineyards and lovely gardens, the peaceful location, our cute cottage, lawn tennis, pool and hot tub, and close to many of Marlborough’s fine vineyards. Breakfast was simple but delicious and with fresh citrus from their own trees and eggs from the chickens. Natasha and Jonathan were friendly and helpful. It was so wonderful we extended our stay. Best accommodations we’ve had in our 6 weeks of travel in New Zealand. Thank you Natasha and Jonathan!
The hosts Paul and Lorraine are amazing . Very caring for their guests and helpful in every way. They helped plan our stay in Blenheim and helped us with planning our journey after leaving their lovely home, which is immaculately maintained. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruits and hot baked croissants and freshly brewed flat white coffee.
The Fairhall Lodge is a wonderful place! It's like sleeping in the vineyard. It's really quite and peaceful but also not to far away from Blenheim or Renwick. The house is very well equipped, the beds are super comfy and the breakfast was delicious! And Kim was the perfect host and we felt very welcome, thank you Kim!
Great location in bleinheim, good sized room (executive), excellent in terms of cleanliness and very comfortable beds. No views etc, facing into internal courtyard where you park your car outside the room (as expected with motels). Overall, good value for money.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. We felt very much at home. The rooms and the rest of the hotel are beautifully designed and very cosy.
The hotel is eight in the middle of Blenheim with lots of Cafés and Restaurant within walking distance.
Beautifully appointed self contained apartment with so many little details that makes is a true boutique hotel. Luxurious decor, high end finishes, large room, very comfortable bed with lovely bedding. We felt very welcomed and well looked after
Loved the location. It was close to wineries and was nestled in and around vineyards. Ursula was a gem. She accommodated our late arrival, gave us a briefing of the property, and was overall a sweetheart. I would definitely stay here again.
Great place to stay. They have a friendly security officer (cat) who does regular patrols. VERY pleased to see remote controls were labelled. I.e. "tv off-on" & "channel changer".....why can't all motels do this? Very helpful!
Room was very clean, bed was very comfortable and the staff were amazing. We had dinner in their restaurant and everything was exceptional. Highly Recommended and the only place I would stay if going back to Blenheim.
The view! Right on cloudy bay. Just a few minute drive from Blenheim but more private, and benefits of being in the country. Nice breakfast left for you in fridge (fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast). Comfortable bed!
Clean, comfy and relaxed place to spend a couple of nights in Blenheim. Close to airport and for exploring the surrounding vineyards.
Not really walkable to town but plenty of amenities nearby.
Outstanding classic hotel with all the old world charm of the early 20th century.
Great room.
Very good restaurant.
Outstanding bar.
Perfectly positioned in the centre of town.
The location was beautiful - while a little out of town (and probably great for someone with a vehicle) - the view from the bedroom across the vineyard was lovely.
