Amazing place with a lot of charm. Delicious food in the restaurant. Very good matraces. We stayed three night. Walk to town easy 15min walk and save. The team was very attentative. We can only recommend Wifala.

The best way for not getting soroche or altitude sickness is...
The best way for not getting soroche or altitude sickness is to drive straight from the airport to the Sacred Valley and stay there at least the first 3 days of your stay in Cusco. This is the best way to get your body used to such a high altitude and avoid getting sick. Urubamba has great restaurants and hotels all around, so there’s plenty of choices for lunch and dinner. The weather is much warmer and nicer than Cusco and it’s a great hub for visiting the ruins around the place.

Urubamba is the perfect base from which to explore the Sacred Valley. It's also a quieter, less overtouristed alternative to Cuzco. Visitors can walk clear across town without being stopped by touts every few steps, but getting to Ollantaytambo, Moray and Maras is a breeze (and cheap). The town also has plenty of great dining options, all for much less than you'd pay in Cuzco, and it's perfect for people watching. It may seem a bit rough around the edges at first but within a day you'll find it comfortable and even homey.AndreCanada - 8.0Scored 8.0

I liked staying here. Great food. Some good local sights. Easy access to both Pisac and Ollantaytambo. It's a little less quaint than those other two tourist hot spots, but I preferred that Urubamba was a real city, with less domination from tourists. Urubamba is a good place to stay to see the sights in the sacred valley. There are a lot of restaurants and our hotel into nan was outstanding. Our hosts arranged taxis to show us the sights, and once the owner even drove us to a shop!
