Arequipa is a very nice city different from the other cities in Peru, a very clean and welcoming town. I think it has a lot to offer from the mountains to the coast! Colca canyon is a must! Amazing place to relax and enjoy the mountains and the peaceful towns. Downtown is also really nice with good restaurants, cafes, museums and nice churches that are open to visit in the day. There are also nice typical restaurants around the city where they serve local and delicious dishes. Arequipa is totally recommended for 2 to 4 days.

Nice city with an attractive historical centre with Santa Catalina Monastery the absolute top attraction, an amazing place with an amazing history. Do not miss a trip to Colca Canyon to see the condors, that is amazing and this is one of the few places in the world where you can see condors. Another must see site is The founder of Arequipa (Garci Manuel de Carbajal) mansion, about 20 km outside the city. In two to three days you will be able to cover the above mentioned attractions.

A beautiful city!
A beautiful city! Lots of culinary options to choose from, especially in the city center around Plaza des Armas! If you need to try anything in particular, go for Kam Thai Cuisine and Mumis for their tasting course, as well as for Pachamanca at Don Beto a bit outside of the city center.
Anything you need can be reached by foot, also, the taxis are reliable.
The guides of all the tours were well trained and gave you all the information needed!
I can only recommend going to Arequipa if you have the chance, for my part, I'll certainly come back one day :)
climbing Nevado Chachani, Laguna Salinas, climbing Ubinas vulcano
La Lecoreta Monastery with Museum and Library, Mercado san Camilo, Viewpoint Square in the Yanahuara District, Santa Catalina Monastery Complex, Santuarios Andinos University Museum with the Juanita Mummy
It was an amazing and awesome stay at Holy Hostel for 6 nights (instead of 1 night at the beginning !).
Aron has a great sense of hospitality and does everything to make his guests feel good.
The rooftop on the bar is beautiful and bartenders are excellent. it was a pleasure to take my breakfast here the morning.
The location of the hostel is ideal, it is close to the city-centre, museums, also nearby some very nice restaurants and cafés.
I highly recommend Holy Hostel for your future stay in Arequipa !
The location is perfect for being in the historical center of Arequipa. The hotel is just a couple of blocks to the main plaza and the Santa Catalina Monastery is in front of the hotel though you have to walk around the block to reach the entrance. Our room had a view of the Misty Volcano. Arequipa seems to be a busy city 24 hours of the day so street noise could be heard in our room but it did not interfere with our sleep. The reception staff was very helpful and pleasant.
A very unique hotel experience because of its history. I believe the property is several hundred years old and was the former residence of some influential members of Arequipa dating back to the 1700s. Beyond the walls of Casona Solar was the bustling crowd and typical city noises, but inside its walls was an entirely different story. Very peaceful during the day.
The staff is super super friendly, really going above and beyond - like handling my laundry for me and even dropping me off at the bus station.
The rooms are comfortable and clean and warm. The shower pressure is very strong and there is a lot of hot water - best shower I’ve had in Peru!
It’s in a safe area and about 15 minutes to Plaza de Armas walking.
Location was excellent near the monastery. Check in was friendly and helpful; they even brought my bags up to my room when my room was ready and I was site-seeing. The breakfast was the best I've had in Peru. The bathroom was new and modern. The room was in general very nice and comfy. They accommodated my request for a quiet room and it was perfect.
Very nice place to stay for a few nights to explore Arequipa. Great location, clean rooms and hot showers. We did not have the breakfast at the hotel, so can't comment on that. They were very helpful and accomodating, we could leave our luggage while on a hike in Colca Canyon and we could wait very early in the morning for a room to be ready.
Location very nice -walking distance from downtown.
Relaxed surroundings with a very attending french peruvian couple, always there for you.
I can recommend to stay in Elisa when you want a upper scale hotel in Arequipa, that include the possibilities for Business and Leisure in one compo.
Very charming place:)
Amazing house with a history. Ask the owners about it! Very well traveled and they can tell you a lot about Peru and Arequipa. They have even been to Haarlem, small world. The hostel is next to a big road, so if this bothers you in the evening, ask for a room on the garden side.
The hotel and the staff is really wonderful and welcoming.
They were really accomodation and provided us early checkin after a long travel from Europe.
They provided a very nice breakfast pack for us, out of all the hotels in Peru, theirs was the best!
Convenient room, nice shower, great location, and the best breakfast in Peru!
Greate service! The kept by baggage while I went to Colca canyon, and when I was back both my baggage and my laundry was waiting for me in the room that I re-booked.
The hotel was very well located, and the room well equipped. The views from the rooftop bar especially at sunset were stunning and very special. Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception and bar.
the property is very well located, in plaza de Armas in the center of Arequipa. The hotel is stylish and well decorated. the staff was helpful and let us keep our luggage during a 2 days tour.
One of the best vfm stays in Peru. Warm rooms, 24/7 hot water, comfortable bed, nice breakfast. Safe neighborhood near the big shopping mall and with historical center accessible by foot.
Love the location! Front desk support was helpful as well at all times. Would definitely recommend this hotel in Arequipa if you want to stay closer to many great tourist attraction.
Lovely and warm welcome
Everything is brand new, the bed was like home, delicious breakfast and the cherry on the cake was the rooftop.
