The location was very close to 'things to see'. There was a large Terrance to sit out at night and enjoy a few glasses of wine. The AC worked well and the shower great!
Spices and condiments were left in the cupboard, for cooking. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The French influence in Tahiti is everywhere and I loved it. Food is amazing, I had great meals out and the Carrefour supermarkets are better stocked than my local supermarkets here in the UK. I just liked the vibe. There are lots of places to eat and drink, decent shopping to be had and I liked the people. The port where you can catch boats to other islands is in town too!

I loved the fresh pastries - especially the bread sticks I found finding a place in town was better for us, as the cost for taxi's was very pricey. I would avoid staying out in the suburbs and ensure to have an offline currency converter handy as there were times i got caught off guard and ended paying double the amount I intended.SharnaCook Islands - 4.0Scored 4.0

Little to do in the city aside from shopping. That all stops on Sundays entirely, and largely disappears on Saturday afternoons too. Public transport is almost impossible, not helped by the website or the tourism office. There are no beaches walkable from the city centre, so you're left needing to find a tour, a public bus (not on sundays though), or renting a car/scooter.NeilNew Zealand - 6.0Scored 6.0

Papeete as a city is not the nicest to look at but we enjoyed our time here. The town centre is bustling, market very cool and the waterfront area is lovely. Lots of good places to eat and great to walk around.

The outside of the hotel though, looks really bad, and so does the swimming pool area, with missing tiles, and fitness devices deposited near the pool. Hotels in Papeete are very expensive, but this one was not cheap either. The room looked 4*, but the outside looks like a 2*. It's a pity, as with some renovation work it would be an ok hotel. A good thing is the hotel has a very spacious garage.

She even invited me on a boat trip! The apartment was excellent, very comfortable, very clean, well equipped and had everything I needed for my stay. The internet worked wonderfully. Some people wrote in past reviews that the hill was really steep. I did not find this at all. All I can say is that those people must have been really unfit! I would definitely stay here again. The studio was outfitted with everything you need in the kitchen, gorgeous pool on the top of the building however there are no chairs so it’s just the pool. Wonderful view from the pool area however. We were met and picked up at the airport by Carlos who was a delight, he showed us a few things as we went between airport and the apartment and he was a definite highlight.BetsyUnited States of America

I don't recall the Tahitian words being used here when I stayed at this hotel in 2014, so I asked the front desk to teach me how to pronounce the words that I needed. The hotel was relatively quiet and the beds were comfortable. They now have internet in the rooms. That is a big plus. I liked the place in 2014, but having internet in the room is a great improvement.

Complimentary shuttle service is provided by the hotel to/from the airport, which is a great aspect of staying here. The air conditioning in the room worked well. There are several restaurants within 10-15 minute walk, though the hotel is located on the side of the hill, so you may need to take a taxi if you are physically limited. The room was spacious and the bed/pillows were very comfortable.

It is right across the road from the ferry and 10 minutes by cab to the airport. It is clean with a cool design vibe, very friendly staff, rooftop bar and cafe, and close to downtown Papeete. We were able to check out the city and then retreat to our air-conditioned room to sleep off our jetlag. A great place to begin and end your time in French Polynesia.
