Faaa itself is OK.
Faaa itself is OK. It's the Royal room in the hills tgat was problematic. The room is not really as described. Seems it's run by someone else than the owner, possibly absentee house owner. Many people come and go from the Royal. One group came for a visit and occupied the terrace. They were polite and quiet but smoked, so no joining for us. The house cleaness is questionable and it appears there is more lodgers than the one the who sleep in the loft. Living room dingy with curtains closed and sofa. Underfurnished. The bedding feels cheap and polyester-like. Parking is a total headache on a narrow ledge. Finally someone came to move own car but with another motorcycle in the small place that was hardly useful. Dog poo was there, easy to step in. It's close to airport but there are nicer places to stay than here. Valley location was nice. Otherwise do not recommend this place. As to airport facility, it was easy to park a car at longterm to jump to another island for 2 days.

Faaa is the gateway to French Polynesia.
Faaa is the gateway to French Polynesia. It is a beautiful city capturing the culture of Tahiti. I visited several markets while there and was impressed by the local pearl, oils for the skin and fruit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in beautiful Tahiti! Thank you from Canada!

Many mosquitoes in Tahiti…bring repellent!
Many mosquitoes in Tahiti…bring repellent! The hosts have mosquito repellent coils lit in the open common area and it helps. A small main gathering area for breakfast, share use of regular size fridge for leftovers, grocery store food, etc. A water machine to refill your own water bottle, coffee maker, hot tea pitcher, microwave, stove, etc all in common area & shared if you’d like to cook own meals. It’s very clean in the area. Also, a washer is available for use for your clothes & hang dry. The hosts are very kind and accommodating.

The hotel is beautiful, but you can walk anywhere, as the menus are very limited, you’ll get bored of it very quickly.
If you want a restaurant outside the hotel, you need to take a taxi, which can get expensive.
I liked the spaciousness. There was plenty of room for two people and a car. And I liked the proximity to the airport and the price. Those are the two main reasons I booked this place.
The host was very accommodating. She helped me organise a taxi to the airport and the instructions for using the accomodation were easy to follow.
It is very close to the airport. An easy, safe and flat 15 min walk if you don’t have a lot of luggage.
It is a basic property. But it has all you need to function.
It's an Airport transit hotel and fit for purpose. It's expensive but moderate when compared to other properties in and around Papeete. It's only a short walk from the airport across the car park, up some steps, cross the road and a short uphill driveway/road.
The rooms are really good, spacious, comfortable and well decorated.
There is a bus stop on the main road for buses into Papeete during the day only.
The husband and wife hosts at this house are wonderful. They were incredibly kind to me when I was stranded in Tahiti due to unseasonal flooding which closed the airport in New Zealand. I was stuck in Papeete for 4 days and they could not have been more welcoming or friendly. Shout out to resident 'Thierry' also for speaking Spanish with me. I should have learned French before getting stuck here!
This is one of the nicest hotels in Tahiti. I have been to Tahiti many times and have tried all upperclass hotels. Staff if helpful and attentive. The room is big and comfortable. The breakfast is luxurious and super good. So is the food on th e menu. The facilities are large, with different bars and 3 different pools. I have truly enjoyed my stay. I am a returning customer.
Great hotel for stopover on Tahiti. Shuttle to/from the airport very helpful. They made renting a car very easy. Rooms very comfortable to meet needs. Access to a small kitchen was really nice and helpful. Reva and her staff were very helpful and responsive. Fresh fruit and juice upon arrival were great.
Apartment had everything you need, well appointed and like having your own home. Great location near airport. Swimming pool and gym. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. Would recommend a car though for getting around.
It is literally 3 minutes by car from the airport so its a good option if you have a night stopover in Tahiti. Place is nice and clean, you can also cook for yourself. Owner is very nice and helpful.
Very accommodating and helpful, so many details it was way more than I would have expected from a hotel that would have been twice the cost of manaeva. I would 100% stay here again!
Perfect place to stay in Papeete. Quiet, private, beautiful view. The hosts were wonderful, friendly, brought us to and from the airport. Logistics were seamless. Will stay again.
The unit was close to the airport. The room was new and nicely furnished. Breakfast on the deck in the morning was very nice. The hosts were very helpful and pleasant
Amazing place close to the airport. The hosts went out of their way to welcome me at 3am after my flight got delayed. The facilities were clean and inviting.
the proximity to the airport made it a quick and easy commute to and from the hotel. we had a long layover and stayed the night, but it was no big hassle.
