We liked all the people who worked at Ecostay accommodation so much. They were very friendly with us, like a big happy family. The place of accommodation is near the airport, beach and other restaurants, but we preferred the Restaurant Flaming Bistro&Bar (it's the accommodation's restaurant). The food was delicious and very addictive (you should try dynamite chilly peppers).

Outdoor jacuzzi is super cool especially at this reasonable price point! Very well setup. While it’s not close to the main tourist areas, it’s close to a hostel that has heaps going on, a beach with a great sunset, convenient stalls and a couple of eateries. Doesn’t cost much on trikes to Aloha beach too, which is where a huge strip of activities are. Far from the city but most tours are inclusive of hotel pickups

    We arrived at Panglao airport and looked for a tricycle to...

    We arrived at Panglao airport and looked for a tricycle to take us to our hotel. Our driver offered to take us on tours with his tricycle so we made arrangements with him. Day 1: country side tour (loboc river cruise, chocolate hills, tarsiers, butterfly garden). Day 2: he connected us with a group to go island hopping with (dolfin watching, snorkeling, virgin island). Day 3: Panglao island tour (we only chose to go to two places - the cave and the bee farm). We noticed that not a lot of people went round to these tourist spots using tricycles like we did; almost everyone went with vans. We just opted for the tricycle because it was cheaper, and not being a group meant we had more freedom to decide how much time we wanted to spend at each place.

    Panglao is very nice, your camera will love it here!!

    Panglao is very nice, your camera will love it here!! I will be going back. If you like to dive, this is paradise. there is also, sandy beaches, boating, jet skiing, parasailing, skin diving... all the sea sports are here. Great Trip! Lots of sea food, Many Bars and Restaurants, as well as other entertainment, very reasonable.

    Unfortunately we were not able to explore Panglao island . Because of transportation. The hotel was walking distance from the beach, but not sea view as hotel description . There are good hotel along beach area.

    We were now in Panglao second time after visit in 2016.

    We were now in Panglao second time after visit in 2016. So much has changed - lots of new developments, restaurants, resorts... but one positive thing remained - friendly people. Smiles are everywhere🙂. Now when the international airport is open, the access to Panglao is easy. There are so many hotels and resorts to stay (ours favorite is Island World resort) and so many restorants for dining on the beach. Just a paradise.

    All restaurants and coffee shops we used were wonderful, sophisticated and reasonable. This includes Tip-top, Giuseppe, Nonki, Max Cow, Overgrown, and Thai food. Nightlife on the Alona Beach is fun but not abundant. Alona Beach was crowded with Korean people, probably because there’s a direct flight from Korea to panglao. There are other beautiful beaches too such as Dumaluan

    Panglao offers great beaches and ambient restaurants while being close to Bohol which offers many activities and sights. Renting a scooter is necessary, it can be hard to find transport if you are not in Alona beach.

    The hotel is suitable for holidays with children and for those who like package holidays. The beach looks nice, but the ocean is very shallow. Not the best place to swim. No coral or fish. Not a bad onsite restaurant in terms of food. But there is nothing else nearby. There is nothing to do here for a long time. Objectively boring. For those who smoke, this hotel is not suitable. You have to run across a huge area to a small island. This is the first time in my many travels that I have encountered that you cannot smoke on your own veranda.

    Staff is really nice and helpful, we arrived by ferry quite late at night and they waited for us. Everything was very clean, including swimming pool. Our room was spacious and there are lines outside to dry up your clothes. Aircon and wifi work perfectly. It's 10min away from Alona beach by trycicle, so quite at night, the bed was also comfortable. There is a convenience store just outside and some restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended to rent a car or bike from them, we got a car and visit whole Bohol by ourselves.

    The hotel is set i a beautiful location but the best rooms are with a plunge pool and by the sea front. The staff were extremely helpful and polite, they couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome. We requested to move rooms to the sea front which they happily & efficiently did. The food was lovely but a limited menu, although this was due to the very few guests as the weather wasn't great. (i.e many had cancelled). I highly recommend this hotel and the island over Cebu, we wish we had gone to Bohol rather than Cebu.

    This was probably our favorite accommodation in Philippines in terms of quality and price! The place was really beautiful and good maintained. Even more beautiful than on the pictures! Tastefully decorated, balinese style. Very good swimming pool that we used every night. The hosts were also very helpful, their brochure about Bohol was very useful and it helped us a lot and saved us a lot of time. Stifanny was also very friendly and always smiling. The lofts are in safe location, 8 minutes to Alona Beach on a bike.

    A great little place that's set in small garden surroundings, peaceful and quiet, yet is only a 5-7 minutes walk and away from the noise and chaos of Alona Beach. The staff here are amazing, friendly and super helpful. Each room has its own little terrace, comes with cable TV, AC, hot shower and the all important coffee making facilities. The mini bar prices were also very reasonable which I appreciated. I absolutely would and will rebook Hotel Renate for my next trip to Panglao.

    Our stay in the Halamanan residence was amazing! Quiet and clean villa, massage at your site for 15 dollars, breakfast choice and serving at your estate, multiple food delivery services, 24/7 support through WhatsApp for any questions (from ordering breakfast to finding PCR covid test), list of top places recommendation. It was the right choice to stay at this villa. Also could recommend visiting south palms resort beach - it is the best on the whole Panglao.

    Very nice and very well kept. The staff is very helpful. We really enjoy the breakfast and the swimming pool. I really recommend staying here! We rented a scooter and they are right is 100% necessary to really get to enjoy the island. If you are a light sleeper bring earplugs. The hotel is in the middle of the nature and there are some noise from animals that can wake you up.

    I highly recommend this hostel! The staff are very friendly, kind and accommodating. Whatever I ask or request from them, they cheerfully provided for me. Their intern Michael even accompanied me to the Alona beach area, which I really appreciate as a solo traveler. Very good location, and fast wifi. I would choose to book here again when I come back to Bohol.
