I and my wife visited the 2023 Gdynia Film Festival and stayed in Gdynia for two days. I recommend this town to visitors who like beaches, cycling, and hiking on the shore. There are also several interesting museums.

Tje Gdynia is a beautiful city, 1 full day I think is enough to get most from the city. To start with the famous port, where you have the museum ships. There on the port you can chill, sing, talke a walk, jog and much more. The beach offers a great relaxation. For children there is a playing area.
The city is tidy and clean offers great cnnections to Sopot and Gdansk.

Gdynia was close to an event I was attending.

The neighbouring Sopot and Gdansk are much nice places to visit.
So, if one has a car the accommodation may be a good base for visiting Gdynia and Sopot.
The Aquarium and a few museums are worthwhile visiting in Gdynia.
Although I would prefer to stay in Gdansk and Sopot if I was visiting those, rather than commuting

Gdynia sucks. There you have it. Case closed.
Gdynia sucks. There you have it. Case closed.
Traffic everywhere, no pedestrian-only streets, a serious lack of restaurants. No iconic buildings, museums, or anything really of note. It's the wet dream of a brutalist architect come true.
With that said, there a few pearls hidden within the concrete djungle, especially next to the sea. If you walk east along the beach, you'll eventually get to Gdynia Redlowo, which is a cozy little touristic community, with a few restaurants, bars, and, well, the beach.
All in all, unless you're right at the water, there's just nothing to see.
A daytrip, sure, but frankly you're better off staying in Sopot or Gdansk.

Simply an outrage to stay in this hotel.
Simply an outrage to stay in this hotel. Our stay for one night was unfortunately marked by a very negative experience. When we arrived, when we asked for a parking space for our car, we were told that there were no hotel parking spaces. we were handed a sketch with the option to drive around the block and park there. We had to pay for this parking space. so we started looking for this parking lot. One hour after the sketch I looked for the parking lot and couldn't find it. even the police station in the neighborhood was contacted by us. they couldn't help us either. the parking lot was only signposted, the barrier that had to be found was simply not there and after an hour of searching we returned to the hotel unnerved. I don't blame the manedem staff. they are handed the sketch and told they sell it to the guest. the management has completely failed here. This is not worthy of a 5 star hotel and a no go. We no longer visit the hotel because it had a negative impact on our stay. two positive things. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is really good.
My wife and I (both 83+) spent two nights in this cozy and quiet apartment. The apartment is comfortable, and perfectly clean, with lovely views of the garden. It is located at the summit of Kamienna Gora (a 40-meter-high hill) in a peaceful neighborhood, with virtually no traffic. The main tourist attractions of Gdynia, including the beach, the museums, and the Film Center, are within walking distance. The host, very helpful and hospitable, is available whenever needed. I highly recommend this place.
Loved it, it was the perfect lock up and go apartment perfectly located in Gdynia city with everything nearby. Renovated and decorated with very good taste and was much more comfortable than the last two hotels stayed at on the last visit to Gdynia, will happily return.
Nice location near the beachside and playground. That was exactly what we were looking for. Convenient apartment, facilities included as described. Perfect for 3-4 adults, enough space. We’re surprised by bottle of champagne, relaxed after long way to Gdynia.
The apartment is modern, clean, and very well equipped. Perfect for a short or longer stay for 1-2 people. It's right in the center of Gdynia, close to restaurant, shops, and the waterfront. The host is very responsive. Highly recommended!
The hotel is exceptionally good. Tidy, smart rooms of high standard with all needed commodities. Cleaning service does its job every day. Staff is friendly and competent.
Restaurant is fantastic and serves generous breakfasts!
Probably the best location staying in Gdynia. Despite the fact that the port part is under reconstruction, the location and the apartment are modern, a few steps to the beach and promenade for a walk or sports.
In overall, a very cozy hotel. Very close to the railway station, you can get there on foot within 5 minutes. Nice staff. And I liked the breakfast. Really tasty and there is a choice of food. Good wifi.
fantastic location , great view , very spacious for bigger group , accommodated 4 couples .
easy access, little convenience shop downstairs.
we used Marriott hotel for breakfast 80 zł for fantastic buffet.
Very new B&B located very close to the Gdynia Main Train Station.
The bed was super comfy and the contact with the staff great.
Very safe suburb of Gdynia.
Fridge in the room was a great plus!
The room was big, clean and everything was new. The house is renewed and fully equipped just 2 minute walk from the main train station Gdynia Glowny.
Check-in procedure fast and efficient.
Staff was very friendly. Room was clean upon arrival and the bed was very comfortable. Location was good and close link to buses that takes you Gdynia and Sopot very quickly.
Mercure hotel located in a very nice place close to the view point "Panorama" and in 5 min from the Baltic Sea shore with promenade area. I would recommend this hotel!
A clean apartment located in a residential area. Grocery stores and restaurants within walkable distance. Easy access to public transportation to both Sopot and Gdynia.
The apartment is located a bit off, but as Gdynia is a small city this is not really an issue. Second time I stay here and I will book again next time I am in Gdynia.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was beautiful, the Seaview is lovely, the room was quiet. The location is just great for gdynia
