Great location! I walked from the train station to the hotel (1,1km) and the next day I walked to Ponta de piedade (3,3 km). Friendly staff and great service. I traveled alone, it felt safe, I visited during low season so I had a lot of space, (pool and relax area all alone).

The staff in reception and the dining rooms were pleasant and friendly. I liked the location in front of the bridge to the marina. The bed was very comfortable. It was a short walk to the train station. Breakfast was good and in addition to the buffet, you could have things made to order from a menu

The views are amazing and unique!
We stayed in a (partial) seaview room, a very spacious room with large bathroom.
The restaurant, bar, terrace and pool area offer the most stunning views at the coast line. The hotel garden is impressive and very well maintained. You will walk down to the beach Praia do Porto de Mas in 5 to 10 minutes.
Breakfast very good quality. Compliments to the attentive staff! Restaurant and bar are well appreciated. Fitness room and sauna are fine.
The hotel is located half way the famous hike Fishermen trail from Praia de Luz to Lagos. Wonderful hike both ways and easy to start near to the hotel. The reception will gladly show you the way.
We walked to Lagos town in about 25 minutes through the main road or about an hour through the wooden boardwalk along the beach. Lagos old town is a very nice place with lots of bars and small restaurants, make sure to place your reservation in advance!

Great hotel very close to the marina from where all boat tours depart. Close to the town, about 10 minute walking-distance to restaurants and shops. We walked from there to the beach and to Ponta da Piedade.
Rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the pool is so refreshing after a full day in the sun. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back.
Overlooking the palm tree-lined marina, this hotel offers a heated rooftop pool (from 1st October - 30th April) and air-conditioned rooms with a furnished balcony.

History and Sandy Algarve Beaches
With a long and rich history, Lagos is nowadays a famous beach resort of the sunny Portuguese region of Algarve. Including wide sandy beaches and quiet coves enclosed by ochre cliffs, it also offers a lively city centre with one of the best mixes between history and modernity in the region.
King Henry the Navigator chose it as a base for his trips of discovery during the 15th century, and later on, it became the residence of the Algarve governors. The Old Town is circled by medieval walls, typical narrow streets, historic buildings and charming squares. B&B’s and hotels in Lagos’s historic centre allow you to enjoy these picturesque surroundings.
Apart from being an important centre for sailing, the city has amazing beaches, like Meia Praia or Praia da Dona Ana. Resorts and hotels on Lagos’ beaches are the perfect choice for sun lovers, while the hotels near the modern Lagos Marina are popular, as they are both close to the centre and the railway station.
The city is 90 km from Faro Airport, and 24 km from Portimão. Check out the Lagos hotels deals on Booking.com before travelling!

Lagos is a lot less touristy than some other surrounding towns. There's plenty of bars and restaurants in the old town and the marina.
Lots of beaches to choose from. On one side you have the longest beach with holden sands. And on the other, lots of small beaches in between the cliffs. Some can only be reached by boat or kayak.
Top of the cliffs offer spectacular walks along the wooden paths offering breathtaking views.

Beautiful beaches and grottos.
Beautiful beaches and grottos. Great restaurants, fish market, and boardwalks for walking and biking. It would have been easier to explore neighboring towns with a car. We felt limited without one. The people are so kind and considerate and laid-back. The weather in April was beautiful but too cold for swimming.
We spent a week in Lisbon, Tavira, and Lagos. Lagos was our favorite.

A friendly, small city that is welcoming for visitors. There is a great selection of restaurants and shops lining historic laneways and cobble stoned streets. Don't miss the grottos from the cliffs above from the sea by boat. They are spectacular.

If you are into walking the new boardwalk runs parallel to beach it's great.
I think last two weeks in April would be better weather wise.
Very well served with fish market and local produce.
I always use public transport it was fine.
90 year old ice cream parlour yummy!!!
I really liked that the property had several pools and was walking distance to the beach. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning as well. I was thankful we chose the rate with breakfast included.
The marina and old town Lagos were a very short drive from the property. We felt like the location was in the perfect spot.
Additionally, the hotel did a great job with preventative Covid Measures as well as had a Dr. that would come to the property to complete necessary Antigen tests for traveling back to Germany.
Mr. Pedro is a wonderful and friendly host and was most accommodating. The neighborhood is in a quiet residential area. Parking was free. The breakfast which came with the plan was varied, plentiful, and delicious, with both hot and cold offerings. It's about a mile walk into the old town of Lagos. Driving around is easy and there are many free places to park just outside of the old town. The Supermercado SuperEureka grocery store is a three-block walk from the hotel.
The Dom Manuel I was ideally situated for a 10 minute walk into the old town. The hotel itself had a wonderful, olde world charm about it that made it special. The pool area was tranquil and beautiful. Everything was just so easy going. Best of all we’re the staff, in particular Jessica. She was so helpful, both before and during our stay. She helped with airport transfers, spa bookings and taxis. She couldn’t have been more pleasant. 5 stars from us.
Our room was very spacious. The poll was great it was almost 3 meters deep - nowadays you do not have such pools in hotels. The hotel had access to normal gym where members were training - the gym was very well equipped. Hotel was located close to the old town where you can find a lot of nice restaurants. However the best beach is on the other side of the town. Parking is outside the hotel and very cheap. Receptionists were very helpful.
Lovely property within easy walking distance of the core of Lagos. The rooftop, breakfast and staff/owners were all just off the charts wonderful. Joao gave us the best recommendations for how to spend our time and where to eat, and overall made sure we had everything we needed to soak in our time in the Algarve. Would never stay anywhere else when we are able to return to the area! Rooms are basic, but comfortable and clean.
Good location. Easy walk to town center. We did have a room that was a 5 minute walk from the reception, but that was made clear in our booking reservation. Our Twin XL room was large with a separate room with a tv and couch. We also enjoyed the balcony. This hotel was not as expensive as many of the other Lagos hotels. We were not expecting a 5 star resort. You get what you pay for.
Extremely well located, inside the walled old town. Good air-conditioning system. All the great restaurants from Lagos are a short walk away (5-15 mins walking). With only 3 floors, the hotel has very few guests at any given time, which feels like an authentic shared house. The orange juice from the breakfast was the best ever - extremely freshly squeezed!
The staff at Casa Creativa were all extremely inviting and provided excellent assistance with finding activities to do in Lagos. The breakfast was excellent and they were very accommodating to any food allergies. I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Lagos in the future and would certainly stay there again.
This property is perfect for a Lagos getaway! We were able to enjoy the views of the marina, walk around in old town, and visit a couple nearby beaches and towns easily. Sam at the front desk gave us great recommendations and Kareem at the rooftop bar supplied delicious food and drinks! Top tier service at a top tier hotel!
The staff was excellent! Jose is the best! 😎
The hotel is very nice and clean, rooms are big and the beds very comfortable, breakfast was delicious, the pool was perfect (salty water).
Praia Porto de Mos is like 6 minutes walking and is a very nice beach.
The best hotel in Lagos! 🥰
Thank you Klaus for your hospitality! Klaus shares the best tips on where to eat and places to go. The house itself is 2 refurbished Portuguese townhouses combined together with wooden floors and 2 beautiful terraces on the top floor where you can have breakfast with a view over Lagos.
Lovely quiet location on the edge of Lagos, with a short cheap taxi ride in. Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms, pools and restaurant and brilliantly helpful and attentive staff. Will definitely be returning again next year!
The host was very nice! great location and cute sitting area. There is a covered parking garage (12-15 euros/24 hours) a 2-4 minute walk from the hotel. Parking address is Av. dos Descobrimentos 8600-688 Lagos, Portugal.
perfectly named it is the most charming hotel we saw in Lagos. absolutely beautiful. the staff were wonderful especially the kitchen staff. the buffet breakfast was amazing
Location. As if travel to Lagos by bus, that’s perfect, the hotel is just in front of the bus terminal. If you get a Marina view room, the view is great too.
