Villa Akacija is a new hotel located in the most beautiful part of the town . It is in the center of Zemun, only few minutes' walk from the two most famous landmarks of Zemun – Gardos and Zemun Quay. In the Ancient times , at the foot of the hill Gardos, there was roman settlement called Taurunum . A fortress, on the right bank of the river Danube, was built in the Middle Ages with the purpose to control the river traffic. Millennium Tower , one of the four towers , built by Hungarian authorities on the borders of their empire , is also at Gardos. This tower is more famous as the tower of Janos Hunaydi. Along 7 kilometers long Zemun quay there are dozens of restaurants , cafes, clubs , as well as the biggest casino in Balkan – "Grand Casino " . Opposite to the Zemun quay there is Great War Island , the last oasis of the untouched nature , whit its famous beach Lido. Villa Akacija is in the immediate vicinity of Zemun theatre " Madlenijanum". Villa Akacija is perfectly positioned for easy access all parts of the city. It will take you only ten minutes' drive to reach the Airport Nikola Tesla or the very center of Belgrade city.
