The Holy City
This holy city is located in western Saudi Arabia and is also known as Makkah. Millions of Muslims make a pilgrimage here, as the pilgrimage is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. The Prophet Muhammad was born here, and it is a sacred place for Muslims and the birthplace of Islam.
Non-muslims are not permitted into Mecca and the government of Saudi Arabia issues special visas for people making the pilgrimage. Most people coming to the Mecca will enter via the Hajj Terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport and Jeddah is the gateway to the city.
The Hajj has a fairly set itinerary including a visit to the Sacred Mosque, al-Masjid al-Haram, built around the Kaaba.
Mecca contains many restaurants with varied cuisine and tea shops are available for light refreshments such as traditional tea and biscuits. There are also many juice stands for a little refreshment amid the heat.

Visited for Unrah just after Ramadan( on 3rd Eid).
Visited for Unrah just after Ramadan( on 3rd Eid).
Arrived by super fast train Harmain from Jeddah airport. Easy travel via Mecca shuttle bus from train station to Haram. Only cost 8 SAR-15 min drive.
City was very crowded and overwhelming during this period with very slow traffic around prayer times.
Performed Unrah after Duhr prayer, very crowded.I recommend Unrah after Usha prayer when it is quieter and avoid at least 1-2 weeks after Ramadan.
Book Harmain train tickets via app well in advance as can be expensive and tickets sold old. They only allow one piece of 25 kg luggage and a hand bag.

The best place is of course the Haram Al-sharif.
The best place is of course the Haram Al-sharif. Lots of different kinds of restaurant and food available in the city. If you don't mind riding in a taxi, it's easy to get around unless it's a Friday. Better know what the cost of a trip should be, otherwise you will get gouged by the cab drivers. The cops block off most streets around the Kaaba on Fridays and religious holidays. Mecca is not a fun activity city unless the fun activity is to go pray at the Masjid Al-Haram which really gives you a special happy feeling and soothes your soul when you see the Kaaba in front of you.

It was congested all round the Haram area, best advise to stay little far from there. Even if you stay in any of the 5* to get to Haram and back would be mission.
Avoid Ibraheem Khalil Road especially in last 10 days of Ramadan between 11.30pm to 2am

Taxi is a big challenge, they charge as they wish 50 or 100 SR is nothing for them. Food is costly. Police, security doesn't communicate in any other language only arabic that is little challenging. Some times they r rude.
I couldn't find from where to get a train in mecca to travel to Jeddah. Map shows many locations I was searching, in the mean time I lost my train that was pre booked for 43SR. Had to get a taxi again to Jeddah for 250 SR.
Airport doesn't allow extra luggage, they r not even smiling.
We stay 6 nights very Good hotel with a Bus to Haram 24H. Bus drop at Bus terminal near Haram sharif and bus ride is about 3 mins then have to walk 5 mins . Keep in mind when you go back after prayer times Buses are too busy .
Room service is very quick .
Hotel provide you really Good quality stay .
Bell Boy Mr sadique is very kind and helping person i appriciate his effort . I reccomend this hotel .
Cleanliness is good . Mr Shakib room service Boy is very kind .
We booked a suite room and we like it .
Hotel was fine, but going to Haram need a taxi, I visited in Ramadan 2024, mostly taxi asking 20-30 to drop on Gaza gate from their walking to Haram takes 7-10 minutes. But if you ask taxi to drop near Haram under tunnel gate, which is close to King Fahad gate they ask more money, and in peak time taxi asking very high. Hotel also provide a shuttle 30 minutes before prayers but were shuttle drop need to walk 5-7 minutes to Haram.
The location is far from haram but bus service is good and drop near haram at Ajyad. The breakfast was good, room was spacious and having sofa for 4 and coffee table. The hotels area surrounding big mosque, children play area, coffee shop , walk way to relax with family in evening. A plenty of outdoor parking space. We were late and hotel was properly responding to our messages via booking.com
-Hotel Building is well designed and clean.
- Cafeteria , Food Market and Salon are located on the ground floor .
- 24/7 shuttle buses (After every 15 minutes) , but will need a 5 min walk to reach Haram.
- Pharamcies, Bakala and market is on 2 minutes walk where you can buy things in more affordable price compared to near Haram.
- Check in was really quick.
New rooms, well furnished and clean, bathroom and shower are very nice. Food buffet was good as well. All in all, very good value for money. A walkable distance from Haram for young and healthy people, it's a 20 minute walk about 1,900 steps, but a bit challenging at the end because of the ramp near Haram.
2 minutes walk towards the restaurant. 12 minutes walk to Haram Clock tower from tunnel.
16 minutes walk to Haram Via Ibrahim khalil Road.
Staff was responsive. Every day room service cleaning. Towel. Bedsheets. Soap. Shampoo. Tea coffee mineral water was there in the morning.
Value for money near Haram.
Best location ,located near Haram. 5 min walk to Haram. But if it would have been better if there was a shuttle system while returning back to hotel due to hotel located up hill. Especially when after doing tawaf it would be little tired of walking .
Other than that everything is good.
The staff very friendly and well dressed and helpful , specially the man his name abdelmajed , he providing welcome coffee and hot juice, the hotel provid late checkout if the guests need it , the location near haram , the breakfast open Buffay and delicious and fresh .
Shuttle bus always available and Location of the drop point near haram very convenient, It will lead to ajyad gate where mataf is easily accessible .And hotel is Lil old need a bit maintenance. But it met my expectations... I loved the stay
One of my favorite hotels, its near Haram, Location is within shopping mall, hotel is clean, food is good, good staff service, there is designated prayer place for both men and women where you can pray with Haram
Very Good experience. Very good staff. Good location. Near Haram. Room was clean. Reception staff speak english. They do let me printout my PCR test Certificates as well. overall a very good hotel.
The best location near Haram, didn't have to go anywhere else to find things, a few steps to Haram, shopping within the clock tower, and all kinds of food options in the building.
if you are traveling with your parent and need a hotel which is near Haram, this is the best hotel. All the facilities are near by and with in 5 mins you will be in haram.
I really liked the location of the hotel and the shuttle bus stop near Haram. The room was cleaner compared to my previous stay. I was able to check-in early.
