The Radiant City
Honoured by Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi, one of the holiest mosques in Islam, Medina is the 2nd most important Islamic pilgrimage site after Mecca. Surrounded by hills that have seen hundreds of people seek refuge in its oasis, this city has developed a range of modern facilities to host the pilgrims from all over the world.
Formerly named Yathrib, the city is also known as Madīnat an-Nabiy or ‘Prophet’s City’, and it’s also known as Al-Madīnat(u) 'l-Munawwarah or ‘Radiant City’. The Prophet Muhammad came to the city in the 7th century, seeking refuge from his opponents. According to Muslim theology, the last chapters of the Quran were revealed to him here.
The site where the Prophet lived is now occupied by the Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi or ‘Prophet’s Mosque’. Although the mosque has changed and expanded over the years, the green dome is part of the original sanctuary.
Places like the Masjid Quba mosque, the Masjid Al-Qiblatain mosque and the Al-Baqi Cemetery also represent important holy sites in Medina.

Madinah stay was wonderful road network and moving around city was good. The holy masjid Nabwee was easy access also the quba mosque the museum would definitely visit again . The al rashida mall was good and also ate in the hashe basha restaurant very good

The nearby food options around Masjid Nabwi may be average, but taking a stroll to explore different cuisines and savor authentic flavors is truly worth it. It's important to note that driving in Madina has become a bit challenging due to ongoing maintenance work. Unfortunately, Google Maps may not always provide accurate information about the blockages and detours. Alhamdullilah . My self & my family members were very much happy about to pray in Holy Majidul Nabawi. And got the nearby Restaurant for Sahr & Iftar . Just around 400 - 500 m walk to reach Haram . This trip was really Fantastic & enjoyed .

Medina is a great holy place to visit. The weather is mostly pleasure throughout out the year (summer afternoons can be quite hot). One can really feel the relaxation in the atmosphere of Medina, especially in the Prophet's Mosque (PBUH).

Racist people hotel staff, if you are saudi or white skinned person then you may get a suite or better room otherwise end up getting a dirtiest room.
