Honored by Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi, one of the holiest mosques in Islam, Medina is the 2nd most important Islamic pilgrimage site after Mecca. Surrounded by hills that have seen hundreds of people seek refuge in its oasis, this city has developed a range of modern facilities to host the pilgrims from all over the world.
Formerly named Yathrib, Medina is affectionately known as both the "Prophet’s City" and the "Radiant City". The Prophet Muhammad came to the city in the 7th century, seeking refuge from his opponents. According to Muslim theology, the last chapters of the Quran were revealed to him here.
The site where the Prophet lived is now occupied by the Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi or "Prophet’s Mosque". Although the mosque has changed and expanded over the years, the green dome is part of the original sanctuary.
Places like the Masjid Quba mosque, the Masjid Al-Qiblatain mosque and the Al-Baqi Cemetery also represent important holy sites in Medina.
Whether you arrive directly at Medina’s Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport or come from Mecca or Riyadh, check out the accommodation deals on Booking.com before traveling.

When your heart is deeply connected to a city like Madina,...
When your heart is deeply connected to a city like Madina, everything around becomes truly amazing. Our souls and hearts remain captivated by the beauty of Madina. The nearby food options around Masjid Nabwi may be average, but taking a stroll to explore different cuisines and savor authentic flavors is truly worth it. It's important to note that driving in Madina has become a bit challenging due to ongoing maintenance work. Unfortunately, Google Maps may not always provide accurate information about the blockages and detours. Nevertheless, the enchantment of Madina continues to captivate us, making every moment spent there truly special.

Medina is a great holy place to visit.
Medina is a great holy place to visit. The weather is mostly pleasure throughout out the year (summer afternoons can be quite hot). One can really feel the relaxation in the atmosphere of Medina, especially in the Prophet's Mosque (PBUH).
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Le Bosphorus Al Madinah Hotel which exceeded all my expectations. Its prime location near the Haram made it incredibly convenient, while the friendly and helpful staff members made me feel right at home. The lobby offered refreshing cold water, delightful dates, and the room was clean and modern. The affordable clothes-washing service and complimentary water bottles added to the overall exceptional experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable stay that goes above and beyond.
Location is good, but hotel is not clean at all, washroom drain was clogged, when asked to change room, they said they’ll give a suite but end up giving 4 bedroom room that was worst without cleaning and drain was clogged. Racist people hotel staff, if you are saudi or white skinned person then you may get a suite or better room otherwise end up getting a dirtiest room. I would say a US motel room is much cleaner than the rooms listed here. I will never ever book a room in this hotel.
Fantastic location. Fast free WiFi. Very clean hotel.
The best customer service team in Saudi Arabia, in my humble opinion. Especially Reema number 1 and Reema number 2.
All the concierge and room service staff were great.
The hotel is fantastic only because it's run by a fantastic general manager, Mr Abdul Rahman Jamaan. He is very empathetic.
He understands the personal circumstances of the customer and finds solutions to cater for them. He is a true diamond.
The staff were beyond perfect, great hospitality indeed. We waited for minutes to get our room, and in the meanwhile they offered free lunch that has a variety of food and drinks. They also offered Saudi coffee daily delivered to our rooms. The hotel was very close to the mosque, and near to many stores needed like pharmacy and grocery. The food in the hotel is great, which is needed since there are very few restaurants in the area.
One of the best hotels in Madinah. Pocket friendly and comfortable as well. I suggest all my friends and family members as well as the who are reading this comment to give this hotel a must try.
In shaa Allah whenever I get a chance again I will stay in this hotel again and again.
Thank you to the staff and the people sitting for there kind service.
The entire staff members of the hotel were super friendly. Muhammad at the front desk was very professional and helpful.
The housekeeping team was great, too. The location is awesome. There's a coffee shop next door and a mini market nearby.
The hotel is a bit outdated, but the owner said that they are planning a full renovation in the near future.
Our second time at Shahd Al Madinah. The location is superb especially if you're travelling with kids. The breakfast is very good. They were extremely kind to fulfill our request for late check- out as we had to leave for Makkah by train after the Friday prayers. Genuinely friendly staff and overall good service.
