We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival.
We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival. The island is absolutely stunning, from the wild jungle and huge granite mountains to the pristine beaches and indescribably blue sea. The driving is crazy - the roads are not straight with lots of steep curves and bends, so drive carefully if you hire a car to explore the island, which is highly recommended. There are lots of hidden gems - we ate at Maria's Rock which was a fabulous experience, and we highly recommend eating at the Boat House on Beau Vallon beach and the Green House in Au Cap. Buy freshly caught fish from the fish sellers on the side of the road and cook your own - it is cheap and delicious. Food in general, whether you are eating out or buying from one of the local corner grocery stores, is very pricey, so beware! Visit the Botanical Gardens and grab a delicious pastry and ice cream from the Polish owned bakery just across the road and down from the Botanical Gardens entrance. Definitely visit the Mission Ruins in Venn's Town in the Morne Seychellois National Park, the views are breathtaking. Also visit the beach at Anse Soleil for the best sunsets.

I really enjoyed Praslin - I had stayed 6 days in Praslin and 5 in Mahe. If I ever come back (i would love too) i would stay only one day in Mahe and the rest in Praslin. I brought my own coffee, the supermarkers are available but tehy had only nescafe, the available products are imported and expensive compare to Europe(butter, bear, bread and so one). It worth renting a car right from teh boat - if you are nor tired (They drive on the left side !!). Taxi is extremelly expensive and not available - for teh New Year we call two number , did not get any answer so we went using the renting car). You need a car and in my opion public transportation is not a solution.
You can pay with car almost everywhere except for taxi (I used Revolut) so you do not need a lot of cash in rupees. Some restaurant they charge you also for service on the bill 5% or 10%.

We hired cars for our holiday group and went shopping, sight seeing of Victoria city and the whole Mahe island and out evenings to restaurants and entertainment. We also did the glass bottom boat full day trip and were pleasantly surprised on this trip to meet his Excellency the State President and First Lady of Seychelles also spending relaxing time at the Beach House on one of the islands, where this lovely couple so graciously addressed the visitors to the island and so kindly gave our group from South Africa audience and a photo shoot opportunity that was the highlight of our visit to Seychelles.

Beautiful island with a little for every taste: amazing...
Beautiful island with a little for every taste: amazing beaches (for families, adults and snorkelling), great scuba diving, water activities and excursions, amazing nature trails, good choice of restaurants.
If you want to explore the island car rental (40/50 €/day)is a must as public transport is limited (waiting time can be 30/40 mins - 7SR each ride). If you want to explore the best beaches or plantations/waterfalls/attractions consider a car.

Mahe is great! I loved it so much.
Mahe is great! I loved it so much. Firstly the Ocean for sure, with lots of beaches along the costs. There's plenty of activities to do like snorkeling, diving, surfing, kayaking, hiking, etc. Due to Covid-19 they have some restrictions of course but still you can have a great time there. Restaurants and bars are open until 10 pm, but some of them close earlier to allow their staff to get homes before curfew. Shops, minimarkets close at 7 pm. Wearing of masks is mandatory in public places, and they register your name country and temperature at the entrance in every restaurant, café, shop, etc. to have a track of visitors.
To get around you can either rent a car or use a taxi, public buses are not allowed for tourists now because of COVID-19. Overall the place is very safe. People are super welcoming, helpful, friendly and always smiling. There's a great choice of what to eat depends on your personal taste but most popular is fish and seafood of course.
Just go there, relax by the beach, get some walk around. In Mahe you forget about your everyday problems and routines, you are just enjoying being in the moment.

Everything is good except Food.
Everything is good except Food.
Mahe is very touristic and in most places prices for food are too expensive comparing to what you can get on Praslin or La Digue.
Sometimes you pay 2x but get the same or even smaller portions and lower quality in restaurants than on other islands.
Soul is a very hospitable host. We have received an apartment on the ground floor, very well equipped, with an amazing view over Anse Royale. The bed and pillows were comfortable, AC was working perfectly. Location is close to supermarkets, fish market, few take aways(the best one IMO, Sega just across the street), bus stop, pharmacy etc. Soul even let us check out later due to late flight back which we appreciate a lot. 100% recommend and will stay again if someday in Seychelles.
We like the house very much. It's super close to the airport. Those who look for a place after/flight , this place is an ideal option. It's very clean and comfortable and the view from the house is stunning. It's 3 min far drive from/to the Seychelles International Airport. Those who don't want to walk to the airport, it's very close, but there's a steep ascent/desert to/from the house.
Generally we like this stay and will definitely rent it if come to Seychelles again.
There was no breakfast; we bought groceries at a local bodega. The hosts were very helpful, but the accommodation was somewhat basic. This stay needs to be rated in comparison to surrounding local options. As such, it was fairly good. But Seychelles accommodations in general appeared to be either quite expensive or somewhat basic.
The area is gated with easy parking for good security. A beach is within easy walking distance. The sunrise over the ocean was beautiful.
We absolutely loved everything about Bois Joli - the nice villa, the nature surrounding the place, the wonderful hosts, the amazing breakfast and the highlight- the private pool with an awesome view!! Great hosts - very friendly and always ready to help with anything you need. This was a fabulous end of our stay in the Seychelles before departing back home. I can't recommend this place enough!! Thank you, Judith and Richard, for everything! :)
We liked absolutely everything. It is neat and clean, there is nothing missing in the apartment. You feel comfortable at home. The terrace and the view on ocean are perfect. For the hosts we have only words of praise. They are very kind and friendly, people with hearts. They made us the best coffee we drank on the whole island. This is not our last visit to Seychelles and we will definitely return to this apartment where we felt at home.
Eden Plaza is the next building to this place and has everything - small supermarket, coffee shop, money exchange and restaurants. Taxi is available any time. Public bus stop is very close, just cross the bridge and enjoy marina view on your way!
Bus ride is very cheap -only 12 rupees one way. Staff is very friendly and always ready to help.
Thank you for wonderful stay on Eden Island,(Mahe) Seychelles !
Good: We had an amazing time! the place is breathtaking and was perfect for us since we were celebrating our anniversary. The staff were super friendly and helpful especially Simon, he gave us recommendations on where to go and assisted in booking us a tours and simply anything else we needed. If we will be back again in Seychelles, we will definitely book this hotel for our stay!
One of the most comfortable places to stay in, in Seychelles.
The chalet is well designed with great modern taste, well equipped with all of what you might need, and everything is of high quality.
Location right on the beach.. actually makes you almost in water.
Internet is very good considering other places I booked.
Mini markets are few mins walking from the chalet.
The apartment was new, large, gorgeous and well equipped. We had Julius cook us a wonderful dinner, 25 Euros per person.... the best fish we had in the Seychelles. They also let us check in early. Communication was wonderful, questions answered immediately. Julius also drove us to the airport at 5 am (40 Euros.)
everything! beautiful modern hotel. spacious and sparkling clean rooms. wonderful bathroom with generous luxurious amenities. great breakfast. by far, the best meal we had in Seychelles. proximity to the airport. very convenient to spend a night before a flight. close to Eden island and its various restaurants.
There breakfast is great and the location is not far from the airport the owner is friendly always ready to assist at anything I spend 7nights and everything was fine the room acondition works fine as well I will recommend it for anyone who wants to visit Seychelles I had a good time stay
Probably the best place to stay in Mahe. The hostess is definitely the kindest woman on the island and leaves nearby, so she's really available in case you have a problem. The appartement seems brand new and everything works perfectly. The view is outstanding. Would recommend 100%!!
The room checkin and check out was smooth and perfect. The room condition and cleanliness was on point. The hotel staff extended our stay by a few hours since we have a late night flight. They were absolutely hospitable and warm. Great place to stay !!
it’s a good comfortable place where you can get the best of Seychelles. the place is big enough that you can enjoy time with your family and also so many restaurants and supermarkets nearby so it’s easier to get food even to cook for yourself.
very nice owner who cares about customer satisfaction. A typical house gesture, but also probably the cheapest on the island. You can use the kitchen, access to fresh water. Coconut as a welcome treat. Very nice view from the room
The hotel was magnificent, from the rooms to the pool to the Beach to the gym...and the staff. Breakfast was fine, nothing spectacular. Menu was limited and needs improvement. Suggest to rent a car to explore Mahe island better.
The property was brand new and of a high standard. pool was lovely and the service by staff was excellent.
The view was amazing and was a lovely end to our stay on the islands.
