Gothenburg is not that touristic so don’t expect to find a lot of attractions. It’s great for shopping, I specially liked the tons of second hand and vintage stores around. Also, there are so many delicious vegan restaurants. I’m not vegan but I was fascinated.
Another tip is to go to the islands around to take a walk and a coffee. You can get there pretty easy and the same ticket for the train serves for the ferry.

You have to go to Hagastaden.
You have to go to Hagastaden. We found a lovely fish restaurant which was a godsend while walking in the blizzard.
Strange that the bar Paddys had a man serving who insisted on calling me sir and knew nothing about alcohol.
The bar a few doors down; John Scotts closed about 7 pm. This may be usual for Gothenburg, I have no idea.

Very small city so not much to do if you're there longer than 3 days maybe. We went for the Christmas Markets, for 2 nights, so that was the perfect amount of time and we did everything we wanted to do. Lovely atmosphere and the food is yummy (the Swedish meatballs). Liseberg theme park is huge and a good activity. Haga is good for little cafes.

I stayed in Gothenburg for 3 days and I also shortened my trip as it was raining all One 3 days. One suggestion I would prefer giving is, if you are going to Gothenburg during late autumn, always carry some nice jackets, gloves, raincoats and waterproof shoes. transport's really a happening city and also all the public transport is easily accessible through an app called vasttraffick. A single ticket is expensive, but try buying day tickets, which will be cheap and easier to take all the transport. I stayed in a hostel and they had a really good and clean kitchen. I always make sure the hostels provide common kitchen facilities while booking.

Gothenburg is a very interesting, relatively small city with many restaurants and sites to explore. We only had two nights there, having stopped on way to Stockholm from Copenhagen, and would love to go back. We particularly enjoyed the old fashioned trolley tour beginning in the main square near the Central Station. (I believe that it runs every day in the summer and on Saturdays only starting in September.) Highly recommend visiting if you have a chance.
This hotel is in a new part of Göteborg that is part of the science and university area . I like the way it has been designed to fit with the new architecture around .
We are on foot but it was easy to access from the station by bus .
It is also connected to central town by ferry which is very close to hotel and very frequent.
Despite located in a newer area there are lots of great restaurants and coffee places nearby if you didn't want to eat solely at the hotel
This hotel is amazing! Conveniently located steps from the train station, this newly constructed building is bright, open and feels intimate, despite being a large conference hotel. The service is welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast buffet is so abundant it makes you want to stay till lunch. The rooftop bar is cool with lots of varied seating and the restaurant is top notch. It is hard to believe it is in Gothenburg, the vibe is so urban.
Good location. Quiet but convenient. Three minutes walk from airport bus stop and about 20 minutes walk into city centre. Cosy room with good facilities; fridge, kettle, hairdryer, TV, internet. Excellent breakfast served I think 6.30 to 10.30. Comfortable lobby with free coffee, cake and still/sparkling water. Rooms very clean, bed comfortable. Staff pleasant. Tourist information leaflets available. Characterful building.
The staff were extremely nice and helpful. They went beyond what is expected, more so than in some fancy hotels I've been in the past. The room was great value for money, as is the location. Perhaps because the expectations were low, but I would highly recommend this place not only to those looking at the price. There was a nice table in the room, where I could work from (good internet). Well deserved 5 out of 5 stars.
We did pay for the best rom you have at the hotell. It was okay, big and stuff. But we can smell pee in the room. We don't know why. We did pay a lot for this room and that not okay. We did find a card for the last guest. super weird, but the room is big and good and the breakfast is super good. We did not have room service. Why do you don't have that? it is a 5 star hotell that don't have it and that's weird.
Everything! The flat is adorable and clean.
The host was very friendly and recommended the route for visiting Archipelago of Gothenburg.
The room has very good sound proof and I couldn't hear anything from other people living at the same time.
The location is perfect for people who want to visit the archipelago. It's easy to go from the city center and not far from Saltholmen Brygga.
I am a critical person and room was so so. I can say enough for one night for me.
I need to write a tribute to the breakfast. Breakfast is very important for me and last time I had that good breakfast in a hotel in Hilton 10 years ago.
It really made my trip to Gothenburg. Please keep it as it is. If you decrease the quality. I will come again and write a bad review :)
Nice hotel, well located in Goteborg. No taxi or any other vehicle needed to get around the city, everything is walking distance away. Friendly staff, nice breakfast and good sauna and pool for a quick swim. Also, the hotel has a great prking area in the nearby parking garage. Simply calling for the entry code, and you can park there for a good fee per day.
- breakfast
- soundproofing of the room - we did not hear them at all during the night when they were laying scaffolding for repairing or revising the elevators!
- possibility to leave the suitcase after checking out of the room in the hotel cloakroom.
it helped us a lot to enjoy our last day in Goteborg without luggage
it was a wonderful time!
the hotel is amazing and has so much history preserved!
the staff was wonderful: super helpful and seemed to enjoy their workplace and that is very important I think.
the breakfast was nice and the hotel was clean.
next time we come to Göteborg we plan on staying at the same hotel. ❤️
Apparently the oldest hotel in Gothenburg. The historic nature of the hotel is evident. I went during the holiday season so the place was absolutely gorgeous, decked out on each floor, and landing of the staircase with trees, lights and decorations. It was beautiful.
I didn’t like one bit of this Place.
There was not one in reception. Is far from town it’s the cheapest Hostel in Gothenburg but it’s not even that cheap at All.
Place was small as F.
Beds in prison are much better than this Kip.
Pay extra for a Proper Hotel
Everything was perfect except for the room temperature. I would definitely reconsider booking with this hotel again, and even recommend it to others. The only thing holding me back from a 10/10 was basically the fact that the room was freezing cold.
location was really good as it was near train station. and it was very good that it was close to Ullevi stadium. grocery shops were also close to the hotel that i liked.
I needed a hotel close to Göteborg central (the train station) and ProfilHotels Opera couldn't have been closer. Breakfast is fabulous and staff is friendly.
