The beaches are beautiful, but the plastic pollution is depressing. The lagoon was nice and the fresh seafood was great. There is a place at Somone lagoon where you can order fresh oysters, clams, muscles and sea urchins. If you want sides or booze you have to bring it yourself.SashaCambodia

We also enjoyed our meals which were varied and freshly cooked. The grilled thiof was cooked to perfection, what a treat! This hotel has a lot of artwork on display. We were welcomed with a piece of cake and some mandarins. We had a great time and we learned a lot about live in Somone. The room is very cozy, spacious and clean. Hot water in the bathroom! We liked the shared kitchen/living room and cooked our meals there. The location is perfect, in a quiet street but close to the beach and the center.

We worked at night in La Somone and it was great fun to drive in the very early morning back to the lodge. Amazing cocktails by the pool (tasty as well as beautiful, served with a smile). Pleasant rooms with big new bathrooms and a little terrace. Breakfast simple but good. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Close enough to the airport for a one night layover. Quite a few restaurants at walking distance via the beach.

Beach is 10 minutes walking distance and personally I prefer that it's not where the resorts are. Conditions were good, even if the host said it was the most modest room. Mosquito net in the bed, which is always a plus in tropical climate spots. I only stayed one night.
