My wife and I are still thanking God for this 3 day trip to San Salvador. The people there are all so friendly and helpful; and it is obviously because they are so happy and thankful to God for using Nayib Bukele to rid their country of the gangs, so that now they can live in peace and prosperity. I have never been to a place where the people are so friendly and kind, and willing to go out of their way to help someone. We saw an emerging new nation of people who take their freedom seriously, love their President and respect authority, and take God's mercy seriously...a nation who is educating their children properly and striving to never fall into the same terrible trap that they have been delivered from. San Salvador is an excellent place to visit. We look forward to going back sometime soon, God willing.

The new national library is a work of art and definitely worth a visit. El Salvador now is a very safe country to visit unlike some years ago. We were there end of March so it was already very hot with 39 Celsius in the afternoon. Best combine the cities Santa Ana and San Salvador with some days at the beach to cool off.

San Salvador has much to offer in the form of a very safe environment for couples, families. They are an abundance of stores, coffee shops and places to eat traditional Salvadoran or other types of food. During certain hours and in certain areas, traffic can be overwhelming. Using applications like google can help you navigate around the city as some streets do not have the name of the street posted which is a big issue that needs correction.

Safety it's a plus, feels secure and walk freely at anytime (Zona Rosa and Centro Historico...) Many places and different cuisine styles at affordable prices to choose from... Transportation it's ease using private or public service. Always use common sense to avoid dangerous situations like carrying a lot of cash large denominations...

The traffic is kinda bad, and a lot of public places like roads, walls, and parks can benefit from paint, but the local government is improving a lot of places, the facilities, and the security. I hope with time it keeps improving, for now, it's an OK site to pass on the way to nearby beaches and mountains.

It is a much safer city now in 2023 and people frequently talk about the sense of peace they now feel pretty much anywhere in the city and the country in general. Salvadorian people are kind and customer service oriented by nature. The beaches are nearby and a must see when visiting the capital for a short stay.
I highly recommend staying at this property. Prior to my arrival I communicated with the property numerous times pertaining to airport pickup and transfer to the hotel, scheduling my covid test, etc. The property responded quickly and helped me with all my pre-travel needs.
The hotel is beautiful. There are antiques and plants found around the property. My room was a nice size, the bed comfortable, and the room was very clean.
I would stay at this hotel again!
After some research, we chose Hotel El Placio. We usually stay in hostels with private rooms. But, this place has the best location and for about the same price for two in a hostel, we got a private bathroom too! The location is on a side street next to the National Palace. The ambiance of street vendors right outside the hotel with our balcony overlooking it was an added bonus. The room was spacious with hot water and AC.
The hotel was VERY ACCOMODATING! we arrived in the dead of night 2am.. and they had a driver and room ready on site. We only stayed for a short period but it was totally worth it. The place is beautiful ,inside and out and the food was good as expected. For the proce you are getting an amazing stay in san benito which is one of the more modern parts of san salvador.
The hotel was kind enough to arrange an airport pickup for me at a reasonable price. The breakfast was very nice and included in the price. I requested a quiet room and the hotel provided me one. Noise was not an issue.
I would definitely stay here if I visit San Salvador again.
It was great, the best part about the stay was the staff. They were very helpful and were able to answer all of our questions, ranging from accessing different amenities to questions about parking around town. Will definitely stay there again next time I visit San Salvador!
We choose these place because of the location, BUT once there is the staff that makes this place the best place to stay while in El Salvador.
10 stars 🌟 🌟 to all of them, specially Perla.
Thank you for making our stay in San Salvador an awesome one.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff - I checked in late evening due to my flight time and the night staff couldn't have been more helpful.
This theme continued throughout my stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone else staying in San Salvador
host had a staff member wait for us for our late check in at 1am, which is necessary because the gate for the hotel is unmarked and there would be no other way to locate it. Nice pool facilities although we didn't use them. AC works well.
I liked that it was secure and clean. not bad for the cost. i’m not sure you can do better for a private hotel at this price in san salvador, so it was a fair trade to me. nothing to write home about.
A good location in Zona Rosa. Felt expensive (we paid $80 a night) for what it was - a basic hotel. When our room had a really bad smell from the drains, staff were quick to clean and sort it out.
Great Location, value, staff, good breakfast. Marylin at reception during day hours was very helpful. She was able guide me on making best use of the 2 days I had to see city San Salvador.
People are really kind . Room is really clean. Everything is perfect except there is no soundproofing. location is really nice. There are nice restaurant near the hotel
Breakfast was Okay. This is a house converted into Hotel. They charged me $10 for using debit card. Price of the room was high as per property condition.
