I stayed 2 days and really enjoyed my time there. I stayed in playa st Blas during the day and drove to playa El Tunco every evening for the restaurants and the night life. Check out farallones and al acantilados hotels for a more refined experience in La libertad. The restaurant at the farallones is worth a visit at leastAAnonymousEcuador - 8.0Scored 8.0

Beautiful beaches; it's is a shame business owners do not invest money in keeping the beaches cleaner. And some of the business owners empty waste in the ocean. So disappointing they have their business there and do not protect this beautiful beaches.

I love La libertad it has so many Beaches and places to explore. It is just amazing. If you live seafood or surfing this is the place. If you ever go there and like the living night and have fun like nightclubs visit El Tunco especially on weekends.AAnonymousUnited States - 6.0Scored 6.0

Prices do not reflect the value of the product. The name "Resort" doesn't go with the facility since everything is rustic. Air conditioning does not work very well. I woke up during nights several times in a cold sweat. Bathrooms had only partial enclosures that allow water into the toilet area. Number of towels was limited. Body soap and shampoo was limited or none. La Libertad is a rural area that has limited formal business. So, wondering or shopping around the hotel is not feasible. I tried to cancel one of the two nights and was told it would be too complicated to do it. Food was fine but expensive. Prices were twice as high as what was available at next door beech. I enjoyed the views, the gardens, and the night tranquility. One night would have been enough though.

The restaurant food is very good and the chef, who we met, is really trying to improve the menu all the time. My main comment to him was that the menu needed to be expanded. If you're there more than maybe 3 days, you'll be repeating a dish or dishes. They also need a small "pool" menu. They do serve food at the pool, but a menu of smaller hand foods for the pool area would be good.

One of the front desk employees, Marlon, was very helpful in every way. It was conveniently located next to a lot of local businesses and Surf City. You can get a cheap thrill or a modern experience by turning left or right. Breakfast was very simple. They delivered it at 8am and it was a random assortment everyday. I would recommend trying breakfast at a restaurant if you have a lot of time as we did. However, it was enough to get the day started.

The rooms were clean with all the amenities necessary to spend a lovely time. the beach was semi-private in a small cove with access only to local residents. the menu offered at the restaurant was small but well varied, serving good portions and very tasty. a small bar at the location, offered a nice variety of cocktails, all at very reasonable prices. which all meant you didn't have to leave the hotel to hunt down meals.

The resort has two pool areas (one includes a swim up pool bar). The food and drinks were excellent and well priced. The room was large and absolutely fine for a couple. I loved that the hotel provides free water via a dispenser which was great. We also had a little fridge in the room which was helpful.

There are multiple pools and outdoor restaurant on the property. The property backs up to the canal which has a sidewalk that leads to the main beach in about 2 mins. Everything was pleasant and the food at the restaurant was so tasty! They were very accommodating and let us store our bags with them while we went surfing after we had checked out!
