We visited the mangrove trail and climbed the tower for a nice view and then crossed the river with a long tail boot to see a nice cave and to see a bit more of the riverside and the driver got us back into the town. Our hotel had this name and was ideally located in the center. Very clean and neat and most helpful staff! Next time would stay in Railay. town was nice, but only for a couple days. And be careful with the elephant trip, the one I did as part of a kayaking tour, I had thought would be the ethical sanctuary, but it wasn’t, it was the other one, and the elephants were chained up, and standing with the Howrah on their backs. Wasn’t happy about that. Maybe specify when you book the tour which sanctuary you want to go to. Also, kayaking was great, but that lagoon gets jam packed full of shouting tourists who can’t steer a kayak. I went in afternoon, next time would either go in the morning, or even better, rent a s outer, go yourself, and you can book a kayak without the guide. The Krabi Town shall definitely not be on the bucket list.
The Krabi Town shall definitely not be on the bucket list. The city seems abandoned, sleepy and under-developed. The Night Market closes at 11 pm and all other facilities as well, we found 0 night life. If one shall wish to visit, go during a day for a walk and grab lunch there. For tourists to make the best out of the visit in Krabi area, just go for beaches and plan your tours from there. Tours by agents are very well organized, people are super friendly and helpful. Enjoy the nature, not the cities.

It’s walking distance from the town as well as the night market which has some great good options. The owner is very friendly and helpful. He explained the map of the town, what to do and see, he also sent a list of recommended restaurants in the area. This property is about 20-25min away from the airport depending on traffic. It’s also about 25-35 minutes away from the pier where we went island hopping.
