There isnt much to do in Bophut. We stayed for 4 days and we felt it was too long. The beach is ok albeit small and the only clean areas are those around the hotels and resorts. Once you walk outside your hotel the streets are dirty and smelly and overall lack good infrastructure. there are almost no trees on the streets. Bolt And Grab dont work in the Bophut area and people have to rely on the very expensive taxi mafia. Tourist prices everywhere which are similar to European prices. The Fishermans Village was great with a lot of food options and souvenirs, A must see but open only on Monday and Friday evenings, Other than that, there is nothing else to do in Bophut.

Bophut has a good mix.
Bophut has a good mix. Fisherman's village is quaint but has plenty of life, pubs and restaurants, and a good night market. The beach is clean and not overcrowded and there are plenty of trips on offer Over all a good area to base your trip to Koh Samui from

Lovely clean place full of restaurants/bars, markets, but not too lively, perfect for us and families.
From the pier, the taxis are sooooo expensive. Going back from towns to pier, 200 to 300baht cheaper. So barter. To our hotel price on board was 1,000. We refused and offered 600. That was accepted.
In 4 nights, we ate twice at Summer (next to coco tams) amazing, and we cld see the fire show perfectly.
We hired a car for our stay via our hotel, so probably not the cheapest way. But it was convenient for us on a short stay. One day cost the same as two taxi rides, and instead of doing tours, we went to all the places on tours that we fancied.

The condition of the road surface was abysmal.
The condition of the road surface was abysmal. The drainage is also sadly lacking. The pressure put on the vendors when there is significant rain is terrible. There are also some areas that need a good clean up.
Always wear footwear that can get wet if there in the wet season.

Bophut is relatively quite, especially compared to Chaweng, so maybe better suited for families. Lots of nice places to eat though and food in Thailand is just amazing anyway. Coco Tams bar on the beach has a cool vibe and the nightly fire show is amazing. You just sit on a bean bag ahead of the show up to an hour before to secure your spot, order your beer, and wait for the kind of show Health and Safety probably doesn't allow back home
Everything.
Staff. They so friendly and check in process was super easy. They even left us a happy new years present (gift wrapped) in our room ❤️
Location - incredible. I can’t think of anywhere better in all of Koh samui - it was seconds walk to everything we needed (the beach, the best breakfast and dinner places) and yet we actually managed to have the best peaceful sleeps. We did request a quiet room so maybe that helped.
The room was impeccably clean. The view from our balcony was splendid.
We had a great stay at Peace Resort! We booked the Deluxe Plunge Pool Room. It was very spacious and tidy. We enjoyed having our personal pool and a bit of private space.
A highlight was definitely the breakfast buffet which had lots of delicious foods and an egg station where a cook freshly prepares your desired style of morning egg.
The staff was also very friendly and always helpful if we needed anything.
We definitely recommend this hotel for a stay on Koh Samui.
Amazing view, perfect location (close to restaurants and shops of the Fisherman's Village, but in the same time not direct into the crowd) and very helpful and responsive staff.
We had an amazing stay, and Pito was always ready for helping us in every need (even responding quickly to whatsapp requests).
We would definitely stay here again and also recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in this paradise called Koh Samui.
Nothing. Waterfront Boutique Hotel advertised the property as beach access luxurious villa. Picture on Booking.com .Yet Beach access destroyed by the council 10 days of work with excavators and beach become river extension and widening. This happened while I was in the property on 22 September until I leave 28 September. I am asking refund. I bought ths property fro one week from Booking.com London, so I want my money back.
All the staff around the resort were lovely, very kind and helpful. It’s a modern resort with a lot to other guest in their free time if they don’t want to leave the resort. The pool area is okay but if you go through the restaurant you have a quick & easy access to the beach which is stunning, you can also walk down to the restaurant by the fisherman village. We booked all our exertions with the hotel which was easy.
I loved my stay at Pico Samui. Pico Samui is Thai-owned and run by the most friendliest and helpful staff. This hotel is perfect for all sorts of travellers as well as solo travellers as they will look after them. The restaurant has a lovely menu and the food is so delicious and reasonably priced. The location is wonderful, right on Bophot Beach and an easy walk along the beach to Coco Tams and Fisherman’s Village.
Great place to stay for a family. Jimburi for the kids, special pool for kids, nice and large pool for the family. And close to the beach.
The hotel room we got (family room) was perfect for our needs, a room for the children, a seprate closet room, a bath with privacy compartments for toilet and bath.
The location is also great and comfortable, i would highly recommend this for a family staying at Ko-Samui.
Ideal location for fishermans village! Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff were very nice and helpful. The swimming pool is nothing special but it is ideal for a quick swim to cool down after a day out. Many gorgeous restaurants around the corner. (make sure to try Family Restaurant and Patuy for authentic thai food!) Perfect place to stay for 2-3 days in Koh Samui.
everything was perfect! from check in, available scooter rentals from the hotel, beautiful resort, the location right on the end of the fisherman pier is perfect! tons of great restaurants nearby, local food night market and shopping. The room was perfect, huge, well equipped and very comfortable, best bed we had during our whole Thailand stay !
After a very long flight to reach Koh Samui, we were welcomed by the very gracious owners.
It was wonderful to have a beautiful room with the balcony overlooking the beach. The room was spotless with lovely decor.
A very substantial breakfast every morning looking over Bophut beach magic !
We look forward to returning again soon!
When booking a stay in Koh Samui we were almost overwhelmed by choice but this hotel is definitely a fantastic choice. We loved our stay. The staff was friendly and really attentive. Room was really big and clean. The pool and bar were nice too. Can only recommend this place
Ibis Koh Samui is truly a real gem in the Accor group. The property is well located with the Fisherman’s Village close by. You don't have to struggle to get to the city centre, as there are more than enough ways to reach it by making use of taxi's in the vicinity.
The garden is more than beautifull.!! Great job!! Old hotel , but the very clean. 2 different pool, seems good for the childrens as well.
The only hotel in Koh Samui( 3 different others) where there were film chanels.Very quiet place!!!
Great little hotel! The check in was super easy, Joy at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. Gave me advice on where to eat and how to get places. It's across the road from the beach, easy to get to
Its a great boutique hotel, and most importantly it does matches of what you see on a pictures. Its well made and well taken care of. Everything clean. Lot of attention to details. Staff were amazing.
Our two level private patio directly on the beach; the location was fun; the bed was comfortable; it was quiet, considering the location; the staff were really good.
