Was on the 12th floor of this hotel when at 7.58am on 3rd April 2024 my family and I experienced the biggest earthquake in 25 years in Taiwan. The room was shaking and swaying from side to side. It was terrifying. But no damage was done. Full credit to the hotel for opening all stair doors to make it safe to exit.
After the earthquake things returned to normal. We ended up staying another night as all the trains were cancelled to our next destination. The staff here were very accommodating.

Taitung is beautiful and filled with many interesting places to explore and relax in. The beach is amazing, although the days I was there I couldn't fully enjoy the beach as there was a storm surge from an approaching typhoon, but nevertheless, it was beautiful. The surrounding hills are perfect for hiking, the food is great, and the people are amazing. I loved it there.

Taitung is the hidden gem of Taiwan.
Taitung is the hidden gem of Taiwan. The city is a great place to explore the surrounding areas. My favorite place in Taitung is Tiehua village. During the week, visit in the evenings to browse the shops in the big shipping containers and stroll along the lanterns. If there during the weekend, don't miss the "Bazaar" that features vendors and live music and snacks. Other lovely places in Taitung: Forest Park, Seaside Park, the Sunday night Night Market on SiWei Road, the Prehistory museum, LuYe Mountain, and the four-story stationery store on ZhongHua Rd. If you have transportation to get out of the city, visit the beaches in Taimali or in Dulan, the hotsprings in Zhiben, or get up to the beautiful SanXianTai bridge park. Don't miss out on eating local produce, especially sugar apples, passionfruit, and mangoes.

It’s pretty far from south of taitung to north, along the most beautiful road seeing Pacific Ocean, with some part of the road elevated to high above ocean which is amazingly beautiful. Many places to visit, from ocean shore to chishang where the rice was growing, very interesting experience.

We drove North to Chenggong County to see Sanxiantai bridge.
We drove North to Chenggong County to see Sanxiantai bridge. It was beautiful and the small island it led to was fun to explore. On the island, I recommend going on the small path off the walkway that leads to the lighthouse. The terrain may be rough for those with restrictions, and there is a hike up to the lighthouse, but it was well worth it. We also enjoyed renting bikes and riding through Taitung Forest Park. It had a fun country feel, and some small lakes and picturesque spots. I thought there were a good amount of restaurants near the forest park and sea park area.

-Beautiful coastline.
-Beautiful coastline. The authorities in charge are doing a great job keeping the main tourist spots (eg Sanxiantai, Dulan beach, East Coast Scenic Spots Admin Centre etc.) attractive and clean.
- The City itself is small yet caters to tourists needs. Everything is there. Good local foods, restaurants, and bars.
- Driving on 9th Road is an experience you should never miss out in your life!. Great ocean view. (Many twists though. Drive with care.)
- Local people are overall friendly, treating you like their friends and chatting naturally.
you must with basic communicate Madeline or Taiwanese. The owner couldn't speak English
1. Amazing low price. NTD800 for a big room for 2.
2. Excellent center location. From Train station only 20 mins by bus. BUS transit only 3 min. walking away. The popular area just across the road. A market near by.
3. Owners are very friendly.
4. Clean

A family run with 60 years history. 60th style.
The room was simple, but it was clean and bright. We enjoyed the breakfast, which, once again, while fairly simple, was light and refreshing (it was mostly vegetarian, with a variety of fresh or lightly cooked vegetables and fruits; there was also omelette and fish available). There is a huge park right next to the hotel, and it is highly recommended (epecially around sunrise!).
We stayed 7 nights while visiting family.
The ambiance of the hotel was perfect. The staff were awesome and it smelled lovely, like a spa.
The rooms were big, bedding and pillows amazing quality, and we especially loved the bath robes to wear.
We used the bikes a lot, and Taitung has lots of bike paths.
We did not eat at the hotel.
Cosy, spacious, quiet and clean room with a great bed and strong shower, located in the liveliest area of the city. Best of all was the staff, however. Sarah, her colleagues and boss run this charming little place with a level of care, warmth and integrity that may be exceptional even for Taiwanese standards!
The room was spacious and clean. A small living room where you can watch TV and drink some beer with friends.
The bathroom was also very clean.
The B&B was in a good location where was easy to get to the night market in Taitung City and convenient stores. They provided few bicycles that are free to use.
The boss is super nice.
The service is prompt, detail-oriented and friendly.
The location is quite convenient in the Taitung City center.
Talk around 1-2mins walk to famous Taitung Night Market. And it can all the way walk down to Tie Hua Village to enjoy the music night.
Stopover on our drive up the west coast of Taiwan. Convenient for visiting the National Museum of Prehistory, which is a short drive away. Very few restaurants in the immediate area of the hotel, so the choices for dinner are limited unless you want to drive out somewhere.
Is near to train station, and I can see their pink building from train station. Is comfortable and clean. I need to leave hotel before breakfast serving time, hotel staff offered to exchange breakfast with 7-11 cash card, which I appreciate a lot.
The breakfast was really good and fresh, the coffee in the breakfast and in the room was incredible.
Everything was well designed, clean and comfortable.
Would definitely recommend and if ever in taitung again we would book this hotel again.
Beautiful new hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and facilities. Great breakfast. Geat location next to the train station. About 15 minutes to Taitung Central on the tourist shuttle bus from the bus station. Staff very helpful.
Although it was level 3 in Taiwan, the hotel did a great job where you went through the buffet and put your breakfast in boxes to take to your room. They did a great job! Also, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful!!!
Very clean, upgraded stylish interior design, spectacular view surrounded by the ocean, helpful and nice staff, reasonable pricing. Chinese style breakfast with various sides. This is the hotel I’ll recommend to my friends.
Enjoyed the free breakfast
Very close from Taitung train station.
Quite far from the main Taitung city and the beach, but loved having access to free bicycle rental.
Clean room and facilities, air conditioned.
There are a lot of things to do in the hotel, a SPA, a game room with poolroom and arcade machine, all free of charge.
The breakfast buffet had a lot of choice. The room was clean and comfy for our stay.
nearby train station, within walking distance. hotel management match expectation. same room rate normally can only get a hostel bed. but here .. it is a single room can accomodate 2 adults/.
Very close to the train station. Property is very cozy and clean. You can tell the host is thoughtful and maintain the property very well to ensure the traveler has a very comfortable stay.
Lovely staff, modern building, very clean, excellent kitchen facilities, comfortable bed. The location was interesting and walkable but required a taxi to and from the train station.
Very good location if you are participating in the Challenge Taiwan competition.
Checkin was smooth, room was as expected.
Nice of the hotel to not charge me for the lost slippers.
