- Travelled all over Taiwan and stayed at 5 hotels, the staff at the Kindness Day in Tainan were the friendliest, most professional and helpful of all. The staff were able to anticipate needs and were proactive in approaching me to ask if I required assistance. The room was one of the cleanest we stayed in.
- Tea, coffee and ice-cream available 24/7.
- I was impressed with the outstanding food handling procedures of staff at the hotel who wore gloves, ensured spilt food and tables were cleaned immediately.
- The bathroom was fantastic, and met all of our needs.
- The breakfast menu was vast, though it did cater to Asian tastes. There were some (very limited) western options which included cereal, salad, toast and croissants. The croissants were very sweet, which is would later learn is because in Tainan, they prefer their food a little sweeter - I do feel however, that the hotel could source a better quality croissants for westerners, particularly when the food choices for those not wanting to eat Asian food is so limited. The first morning they served oranges and the second morning, bananas. The coffee was bean to cup, and very drinkable.
- This hotel also served dinner!! The menu was the same over two nights, and again catered for mainly Asians tastes. Dinner also included a drink of beer or juice!
- We used the laundry facilities, which did not include a cost, and the machine and dryer worked without drama.

The room is spacious, the bed is very comfortable, the amenity is very good, and there are plenty of additional suppliers, such as plates, silver ware, tea/coffee bags, bath robes, slippers, etc. Provided self parking is a plus even though it is a slightly hard to get to. Due to our special request, we got upgraded rooms without paying extras. The staffs are very friendly and helpful.

Anping sights would definitely take up the whole day.
Anping sights would definitely take up the whole day. Tainan is a lovely place to be with an excellent variety of history, cultural sites, temples, markets, and general fun things to do. Could definitely have stayed longer than 2 full days for a few extra day trips nearby, and to try more of the local things.

Traditional city that almost represents the development history of Taiwan city, including the building, religion and the famous street food. Actually Tainan keeps its unique culture of Taiwan city, then based on the culture attracting a big scale of Taiwan humanities and cultures.

Tainan was awesome. There is so much to see and do! The free cultural walking trip of the Confucius Temple and other parts of Tainan was amazing (Emma was my tour guide- she was extremely knowledgeable, her English was excellent, and she was so informative). Anping area had a ton of culture, a market, Temples, and amazing food to enjoy. I also enjoyed the Garden night market (different markets are open on different days). It was busy and crowded but there were so many great vendors selling clothes, jewelry, electronics, and more. The food selection was also impeccable. I was only in Tainan for a day and a half. I would have spent a few more if I had the time!

Tainan is an underrated, if not, underappreciated city that withholds treasures of different sorts for you, the traveler, to discover. The cheap, delectable street food is not to be missed, in addition to the hot sunny days, which could be a relief if you happen to be traveling from the miserably humid city of Taipei.
That said, Tainan is best explored on bike/scooter, as many attractions are spread out with quite some distance in between. Fortunately, Tainan's government offers electric YouBikes for rental, which could ease the pedaling by quite a bit.
The Dynasty is a three star hotel located on the busy Chenggong Road, which is about a 6-7 minute walk from the Tainan City Station. There is an RJ Mart (Filipino grocery store) across the road and a 711 on the corner. A short walk towards the train station there are a couple of shopping mall style buildings (Focus & Shin Kong) complete with food courts. The rooms were clean and tidy, which had free WiFi and the television screens were a decent size. There is an old self service laundry area up on the roof which came in handy
This hotel was very centrally located and included free parking for cars or scooters. The lobby area is lovely and features free reusable water bottles and drinking water, coffee, etc. The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was nice. There were even lockers for your belongings like they have in the train stations/MRT if you are planning to arrive before check-in and explore Tainan or stick around after check-out. Great peace of mind to have your stuff under lock and key.
I traveled to Tainan for a business trip and stayed in this hotel. I can say that everything in this hotel is standard and desirable. The space inside the room is not only relaxing, but the facilities are such that you can use it as a good office. The size of the room is big enough and also the window facing the street has a very beautiful view. The breakfast covers all tastes and I found the restaurant staff to be very nice.
Somer hotel is in an amazing location, has very friendly staff, a great breakfast, and bikes for rent - everything you need for exploring Tainan! To top it off, the hotel has been intentionally designed and decorated to set the scene so patrons can learn about what makes Tainan unique and Taiwan so special. We really appreciated the snacks and amenities featuring local brands, and very clean and comfortable rooms!
Being a Homestay facilities, it is different from the normal business hotel. It is located near Shennong street & Guohua street with lots of delicious food. Warm welcome by the owner, providing valuable advice on nice food nearby and how to get around in Tainan. Owner provided the additional hangers and towels promptly upon requested. Would love to stay See Love B&B if visit Tainan again.
The hotel is in a really good position to visit Tainan (very close to a few main touristic spots and only 20 minutes of bus away from Anping).
The room was spacious and nicely decorated, the bed was really comfortable and we had a lot of commodities included in the price.
There is also the possibility of renting bikes, which is a big plus!
The staff was very nice :)
The property was cute and clean, had fruit included in the complimentary kitchen supplies, and I was exceptionally lucky in getting quiet roommates. I would definitely book again if I take another solo trip to Tainan. Also, the beds were comfy.
Very central, convenience store downstairs, good value, bunks are good. Though Tainan was a complete waste of time, there are so many more beautiful and interesting places in Taiwan, and the bus system is confusing to say the least..
Amazing use of limited space in a very Japanese-style way. Never have had such a small room without feeling cramped before. The strongest asset of this hotel is its location in the heart of Tainan's West Central district.
Got a nice and clean area to sleep and you could just spend 3 or more hours to use the B & B public facilities. BTW hotel staff service attitude is excellent which I will back there again if I travel to Tainan in future.
The room was clean, comfortable and stylish. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is in the heart of Tainan and you are close to many of Tainan’s delicious small eats.
Hotel is right in front of the Tainan train station.
Room was clean, parking available.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Scooters rental shops are across the street.
great vibes, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere. my stay was comfortable and memorable.
convenient location too! highly recommend for a positive experience in Tainan.
Awesome new guest house with beautiful and well laid out rooms, super friendly owners, and perfect quiet location (you can hear birds at night!) on the middle of Tainan
