Arusha is not a pleasant place, on the very dirty crowded streets there is non stop people grabbing and talking to you all wanting money, we had one person tell us about his mother in the hospital and wanted us to pay her bills. Arusha is a means to a safari and that is it.

Arusha is a busy city.
Arusha is a busy city.
I have visited old German Boma which was converted into Natural History Museum.
Seen also Arusha Declaration Monument and Clocktower which they claim it’s located in the middle of Africa or let say in the middle between Cairo and Cape Town.
They have some supermarkets like Shoppers Supermarket or AIM Mall on the way to Arusha Airport.
East African Community HQ and Heritage Museum.

A typical African city, colorful with open local markets and malls, safe to walk around and very friendly people. Ideal location to start your safari because most safari organisers start safaris from there. I’ll definitely visit Arusha again.

Great city to stay in.
Great city to stay in. Definitely the safari hub; at least four major safari destinations (Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater) within a day's drive. Lots of great (if sometimes challenging) hiking to be done in the foothills of Mount Meru and the Kilimanjaro (or climb the mountains if you feel like it).
Easy access through Arusha (domestic) or Kilimanjaro (international) airports. Taxis are cheap, but make sure you agree on a price beforehand,

Arusha is not a tourist destination, it is a base of operations from which to go see northern Tanzania's natural beauty. In addition to the national parks and Kilimanjaro, you can do cultural tours out of Arusha to some of the villages on the slopes of Mt Meru, often including hiking in the rainforest there. I did a 2-day tour with Peace Matunda for $110 including transport, and absolutely loved it.
It is a pleasure to stay here... An oasis of rest is the bustling area of Arusha... The luxury bungalows in the middle of the coffee-plantage and beautiful nature are stunning... The food in both the bistrot and the restaurant are great... and we were absolutely charmed by the social project Shanga.org that is hosted on the property, where disabled Tanzanians are working in creative sustainable jobs that are implemented in the hotel, for example all glasses are handblown bij Shanga! Big respect for the owners to implement this!
It's our first ever visit to Arusha, Tanzania and we were in awe of how beautiful this place is. Reaching the hotel we were superbly impressed by how accommodating and professional the hotel manager Joseph was. He gave us a really lovely room upstairs with a huge balcony. Super comfortable bed with mosquito net, with hot shower, everyday the room is well cleaned. The food was delicious and even the other staff were extremely of excellent service. Great value of money for the nights we stayed in. Well recommended 👌 👏
This place is exceptional!! It is simply an oasis of calm and greenery, with amazing views from the rooftop of the main house. The room is huge, the shower was the best we had in Tanzania (we stayed in 5 different locations) with super pressure and hot water. The food was homemade and soooo tasty!! The hosts, Francesca and her husband, were super helpful and staff very friendly. The whole experience was simply amazing! If we are ever in Arusha again, this will be our must stay place!
Great hotel, well-located, 20 minutes from Arusha Airport. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, clean, and beautifully decorated. The staff is responsive and very friendly. The Manager Prince and his team (Venant, Sharon, Lucy, etc.) will ensure you have an exceptional stay in Arusha. The Sanna café right below the hotel is excellen ! You can book with confidence. I highly recommend this hotel.
THE PLACE TO BE !
The location is in the heart of Arusha with the Clock Tower and National Natural History Museum in walking distances. The room is clean and beautiful. From the balcony in my room, I can see the garden in the back of the hotel. The restaurant has three menus (Africa, Chinese, India) to feed different stomachs. The staff are friendly and helpful. I stored my luggage for a week and they are safe and sound.
The property was amazing and the staff, very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was awesome, the chef changed it up everyday which was amazing.
The room was clean, with high pressure water in the shower. Loved it!
The swimming pool was clean, I enjoyed my morning swim.
Also got to learn more about Arusha from the staff.
Best price/quality you can find in Arusha!
It’s a boutique hotel with great owners. There has been put a lot attention to detail in the decoration. The rooms are very clean and beautiful. We liked our stay and would go back if we would ever revisit Arusha!
Quiet and pleasant place, very local, almost a homestay more than a hotel. Location is very good: nice and safe area, walk 5 min to the road and get a local bus downtown to Arusha. Also very convenient for the JRO airport.
Lovely hotel with pool. Little distance to central arusha but easily reached by boda-boda or tuk-tuk.
Really helpful staff and great service for looking after your luggage while your off on safari or similar.
The house is well kept the compound the choma grill the kitchen the living room the bedrooms are awesome. We enjoyed the sunset from the balcony and the skies. Its a walking distance from Arusha town center
This is my first time in Tanzania, traveling solo. Joseph, Glory, Miriam and other staff members were very helpful and accommodating. I had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Food was healthy and delicious.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Arusha City
Agnes was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay! I will 100% recommend it and if I ever come back to Arusha I would stay here.
