Leafy town on the southern slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The town itself does not have a real center, just a tacky sculpture of Mt. Kilimanjaro in the center of a roundabout. However, if you stay a little bit outside of town then you can enjoy the unique location.

There is a lot of really nice restaurants(indointaliano is one of the best) and the view of Kilimanjaro is amazing. Moshi is the best place to find a company which will take you to the summit of Kilimanjaro. You can also do day trips from Moshi to Materuni waterfalls or Kikuletwa Hot Springs.

There is absolutely nothing to do in Moshi and is only good if you do a tour or two and hike Kilimanjaro. When you are done with those, get out! The do have a Regional Immigration Office that will extend your visa for 30 days if you need it.

The beds are comfortable and are equipped with good moskito nets.The rooftop is perfect for hanging out, reading or having a chat. Breakfast is included but you can also have lunch and dinner at the hostel - the chef makes delicious food. We felt super comfortable and extended our stay there!
