We are 5 mins from the French Market, Bywater & Marigny (Good Restaurants), Frenchman Street (Great Music) and the Fairgrounds. We are 10 mins from French Quarter and City Park. Easy access to the freeways gets you to the CBD and the Superdome in 15 minutes. Its about 15 min to Metarie.

We are an adventurous, travel loving couple, who raised our family in Hawaii. The kids are off on their own journey, so we were ready for our next adventure. Here we are now living in New Orleans. We enjoy living in culturally diverse communities. Our likes are: delicious food, live music, good humor and the outdoors. New Orleans weather and Festival atmosphere is a wonderful place to enjoy these things. I live in seperate apartment upstairs, so I am readily available to solve any issues. However, it is your vacation experience, so I respect your privacy. I can make suggestions if inquiries are made.

It’s in a safe pocket of the city. We’ve had no problems in the 8 years we’ve lived here. My 90 year-old neighbor and her family has been in her house since 1937 and has had no trouble. It’s not a pretty neighborhood yet, but we’re working on it, and it improves every year. It’s a relatively quiet area for-the city. There are trains, but we are in a quiet zone, so they go slow and no whistles. We don’t notice them when we’re indoors. Sometimes the train brakes squeal. Uber and Lift can get you around if you choose not to drive. We are 4 blocks from the city bus stop. The Saint Claude at Elysian Fields street car is 1 mile away.
