There were two ladies that were taking care of everyone in such a professional manner at breakfast. The back breakfast was maybe a step above some hotels for a free breakfast. It was good. Our room was very spacious and comfortable and clean.

The staff was so very pleasant and friendly…especially the front desk and the woman in the breakfast area. The young lady (night) answered all of our questions, offered advice of places to dine when asked and just so very nice! The woman in the breakfast room kept everything spotless (continuously cleaning and picking up after everyone), was friendly and never let the food items run low or dry out.

There are a lot of weird, nasty looking people around, comprised of a variety of dirty homeless people, hippies, and sexual deviants. They generally keep to themselves, however, and we always felt safe exploring Asheville's many fine attrations.

Asheville is a beautiful city with friendly people and lots to do. No one I've ever talked to has had anything but the best things to say about this town! Everything is compact and easy to get to. We ate at Ida's Bistro - food was good, dessert was great, but service was not so good (server didn't know the specials and then presented them badly, he seemed indifferent. We heard the manager describe the same specials to the table next to ours and the description sounded Sooooo much better!). We also had dinner at the Bistro at Biltmore's Antler Hill Village. Was a little pricey, but the quality of the food was really great, and the service spot-on.

This was our first visit to Asheville due to attending a wedding. We stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in the Downtown area and everything was in an easy 3-4 block walking distance. We had no idea that this area was such a gem as a foodie place with the diverse selection of good restaurants (Spanish, French, Japanese, Brasilian, Italian, Mexican etc.), wine bars, craft breweries and interesting stores and shops plus the history with the Vanderbilt family influence as well as the four nearby colleges/universities. This is a fun place that we intend to return to in the future.

Absolutely lovely town with warm and friendly people.
Absolutely lovely town with warm and friendly people. It’s a little chilly in the winter so dress in layers. If you plan to visit the Biltmore it’s a whole day trip visit the winery without kids cause the lines are long especially on weekends. Downtown parking is crazy on the weekends so pay attention, be ready to Walk a little and if you visit Double D’s have cash on hand. Sometimes it rains unexpectedly have a umbrella handy

Great food and art options.
Great food and art options.
Laid back mtn. town atmosphere is great!
Not so great is the amount of homeless and mentally ill people who make you feel unsafe.
I was followed by one such individual but that’s on me because I was out at midnight looking for food options.
Large room with comfortable beds. Adequate furnishings, including a nice work desk. Adequate electrical outlets, which is unusual in a hotel this old. Good sound insulation between rooms. The mini fridge actually kept items cold. Free coffee in the office was nice. The location is ideal for our purposes, with an easy route between the hotel and downtown. The 50 mile room rental radius ensured that no transients were at the hotel.
We were in a pet friendly room and really appreciated the large grassy area for walking the dogs. They also provided bags for customers to pick up their dogs business. The rooms were very comfortable. I was thinking we might hear noise from the road but it was quiet.. Hotel was conveniently located just a few miles from downtown Asheville.
The hotel very close to the entrance of the Biltmore, which is why I selected it. Also close to downtown Asheville. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. For some reason they upgraded me to a room with a jacuzzi, which was a pleasant surprise! Good breakfast, enjoyed not having to find breakfast out or submit to Starbucks.
Breakfast was decent, it was your basic continental breakfast. The hotel had a heated pool, gym and all areas were kept clean. It was in a quiet area and very close to downtown Asheville. I would recommend it because the styling and updated appearance for the price.
Great stay at Country Inn & Suites Asheville River Arts District - convenient location to downtown, and it's festivities. The bedding was comfortable, and the staff there are professional and super friendly! I would definitely recommend this hotel*
The location was great - walkable to the heart of downtown Asheville. The rate was also good compared to other hotels in the area. The Downtown Inn does not have a lot of bells and whistles, but it was clean and the staff were friendly.
We had an amazing stay! The hotel was lovely. We enjoyed the rooms, pool, welcome reception with cheese and wine, and the terrace that overlooked the city. One of the best hotels I've been to in awhile!
I've stayed here several times while traveling to the Asheville area. Good location with easy access to all. Quiet and just minutes from downtown. Very comfortable rooms and helpful staff.
Breakfast was pretty good for the 'breakfast included' types of hotel breakfast and included hot items. Staff was very nice, room was clean. Easy location to get into downtown Asheville.
The hotel is a good value for downtown Asheville however, it is located near a highway entrance ramp so there was a good bit of traffic noise. Hotel was clean and good staff.
This hotel was very clean, had everything we needed, staff was extremely friendly and helpful and it wasn’t far from downtown Asheville. Best of all it was a great price!
Location was great, walking distance of basically every attraction in downtown Asheville, left the car at the hotel and didn’t have to use an Uber or bus to go out.
Very new and clean. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The best thing was the on demand shuttle into Downtown Asheville which was just 5 minutes away.
Very accommodating and courteous staff😇.Rooms large with great views of DT Asheville. Really quiet room at night for a downtown hotel. Car Valet prompt.
