There is a lot to see in the Daytona Beach area.
There is a lot to see in the Daytona Beach area. I discovered a new place, The Daytona Beach Aquarium, which is new and expanding as well. Instead of building more for this attraction they did a great job of repurposing a former retail area. I will be revisiting that attraction for sure. Like all areas of the world the climate has taken a toll in recent years, but Daytona area is doing a wonderful job of getting things restored. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that like any place including where you live everyday it is wise to know your surroundings. I attended opening day of the Tortugas at Jackie Robinson Ballpark with my son and daughter-in-law and was delighted to see how the area came out to support their team. There is far more to see and do in that area if you take the time to research what is there.

It’s good if you like dive bar hopping!
It’s good if you like dive bar hopping! Lots of places have live music.
Riptides was a lively restaurant with good outdoor covered seating. Food was good and good live music.
Other bars The Famous Boothill saloon, Ditty Harry’s, Froggie’s good Happy Hours.
Ocean Deck has good food and a great live band.
Easy to walk from bar to bar.
I would probably avoid Bike week locals say it’s ridiculously crowded and the prices go way up.

Great place, parking on the beach for a fee.
Great place, parking on the beach for a fee. Unfortunately not the same Daytona Beach that I remember Pre Covid!!!!!!
Approaching Atlantic Ave from route 95 you go past homeless people camped on the side of the street, literally sleeping on the sidewalk. Cannot stop at an intersection without at least 1 homeless person approaching your vehicle. However once on Daytona Beach the homeless are less. But still visible. There are NO homeless or panhandlers on the Boardwalk or the pier. Very Limited rides for kids or adults. The boardwalk is only 3/4 of a mile 1 way and there are store fronts that are empty and seem to have been empty for a while.
The Daytona Beach of eras gone by is GONE!!!!!!
The best breakfast that we had 3 mornings in a row, was at the Cracked Egg. There's also Bens, but they only accept cash and no credit or debit cards.
An absolute must restaurant is Aunt Catfish's in Port Orange!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try Fysh was also a great spot to have a drink on their rooftop and watch the boats go by.
Mexican is DEFINETLY Don Peppers!!!!!!!! Whatever you may want for Mexican food, Don Peppers can make it for you

Staying in Daytona is great.
Staying in Daytona is great. Stay away from the most popular hotels and book something like Perry's Oceanside Resort or something else. These places have great amenities, great views, and great staff.

Everything was great about this place EXCEPT, consturction...
Everything was great about this place EXCEPT, consturction was going on with the pool and a huge mound of dirt blocked our view. We were told ahead of time anout the pool but not the blockage of the view. That was a bummer since we drove 8 hours to see the view of the beach and couldn't see it. Otherise the place was incredible. It will be fantastic when all is repaired outside.
Daytona Beach can be a little iffy regarding hotel stays. You can easily spend $500 a night and get a pretty crappy hotel. This was a great value for the money, the facility was nice, the room was nice, the staff were nice they have a nice bar right in the big lobby And the hotel food was actually very good. Note that booking.com says the room was ocean view, that’s a little bit of a scam because it’s just a slight view of the ocean, we expected it to be ocean front, but view and front are different. That should’ve been made clear.
The location was perfect, right by the daytona beach. We paid $196 for one night. The pictures looked nothing how it looks in person, unfortunately! Don’t think the room / stay was worth $200, for one night . When we got to the room we instantly wanted our money back for a different hotel, called around to different hotels and they were all booked for that weekend so we made it work.. wouldn’t stay here again.
The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in at a hotel. The room view was amazing as well. I wasn't expecting a full kitchen so it was a wonderful surprise. First time in daytona beach and we stayed here for a night and another hotel the others. I will book here only the next time i visit the area.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a great deal. We were skeptical because of the price but we were happy after a long drive to have a nice clean room with a balcony view of Daytona Beach. The hotel was right on the beach and we were able to walk right behind the hotel to watch a rocket launch.
Amenities are great! Kids love the multiple pools, kids zone, lazy river and water slide! Proximity to restaurants, stores and water park are all within walking distance. There was a lot of security onsite. Daytona Beach seems to be going downhill in that area, but we felt safe at the hotel.
Didn’t like anything about it. It was dirty, and it smelled like cigarettes, burn cigarettes on top of the counter. No pool when they said they had a pool. People living in the hotel and there was no one on the front desk. Everything was through text. We just left to an other hotel…
The location was perfect! A gorgeous view of the ocean as you walk out the door. Close to grocery stores and all other places we needed to go. A nice small quaint hotel. Office staff and housekeepers were super nice and cheerful! They did a great job!
Nice hotel with excellent staff and good facilities. Lovely balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. Good breakfast. Excellent breakfast area where we were also allowed to sit after check-out because of weather warnings
We love this hotel because it's right on the water Daytona Beach is a great place to go and sitting on the balcony watching the waves is breathtaking we often times see dolphins out in the water
The room was very welcoming. More of a homey feel than a hotel. My FIL liked our room better than has room at the Hilton! The Tiki bar and grill had great drinks and food also.
beach nice but room ok but that was it- moved to Cove luckily after stay here 1/2 price and ocean view?? this with fees more than Cove tropical winds almost Hilton price!!
It was a nice property but not what i would expect from a Hilton. The Lobby was beautiful but for the price the rooms were just like any other hotel, in need of updating.
I ABSOLUTELY loved the location of this hotel! we were in walking distance of a couple of our favorite restaurants, shopping centers, maybe 15 mins from Daytona Beach.
