One or two days is all that is needed if with a family.

One or two days is all that is needed if with a family. The town is too crowded and commercialized so visit Sedona for the nature, the hikes, the vistas. If you do plan in being in town then plan to visit very early on weekends and watch out for traffic, it can be really bad. Also, make dinner reservations well in advance. Food/restaurants are just OK so if you are a foodie lower your expectations.

Beware of ticketing traps on tourists.

Beware of ticketing traps on tourists. Look at Trip Advisor concerning this scam. Always loved Sedona. We parked with other cars on a quiet street where there were no 'no parking' signs. We got a ticket for $125 and cannot possibly go to court to contest it. We live in Washington. We were legally parked and criminalized as is their routine for tourists. One of the restaurants imposed a 24% tip automatically

Amazing views, abundance of trails and activities in the area. However, beware that Sedona is a small town that receives millions of tourists every year, hence driving/parking situation is abysmal. Stay in close proximity to trails and restaurants if you can to avoid driving.

Sedona is beautiful because of the scenery.

Sedona is beautiful because of the scenery. There’s beauty everywhere because of the gigantic red buttes that surround the town. The restaurants are good and staff friendly. The atmosphere is very spiritual because of the vortexes. There are many places for interesting hikes. A good place for shoppers although the traffic can be challenging. Sedona has something for everyone. We’ve visited several times and will return again.

In the cooler Spring, I imagine that Sedona is perfect for couples and Ladies, however we visited as a family of four with two elementary-school aged kids. When the temperature is below 60, outside activities lose some of their appeal and we didn’t find other family-friendly activities (think mini-golf, arcade, active museums). My kids said all there was to do was eat and shop. Now, if I was there with my girlfriends or if it was 80 degrees, this is a different review, but it wasn’t. As such, we couldn’t wait to get back to Phoenix. Oh, and the traffic is terrible! Way too many cars and insufficient parking. It took over an hour to drive through town to our condo just north of the city.

Sedona's natural beauty is second to none, however, it is overrun with tourists. Parking is near impossible and the streets are clogged with traffic. The once artistic enclave set in the inspirational red rocks is replaced with shop after shop of massed produced jewelry, rock shops, etc etc, all the same and you shuffle along in a moving mass of people. GO OFF SEASON! if there is such a thing.

Location is great! I mean the view you can't beat from the hotel balcony. In the parking lot is Agave89 which is the best Mexican and margaritas we've 'ever' had. Walking distance to upper Sedona and shops and restaurants. Short drive to all the hiking and other sites. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We had an issue with our toilet and it was fixed immediately from a very nice guy. Probably the most we've paid for a hotel on vacation however, I'm all about the deck and view which is amazing.

While it was a 10-15 minute drive to the center of Sedona, it was the perfect spot for accessing all the beautiful trails. Most were a one minute to seven minute drive to the trailheads. The village had a number of acceptable restaurants, and other conveniences, like a grocery store, gas stations, etc. The hotel manager was very hospitable and helpful. The room was very spacious, quiet, and very clean. The bed was very comfortable.

The room was very nice. It had lots of space and was beautifully decorated. The views were amazing from our room and you could walk out onto a terrace that had chairs and tables and just enjoy the scenery. The staff was great and helped us out and brought us a iron and ironing board. The hotel was in the best location to everything in Sedona. It was so reasonable priced and I would definitely stay here if I am in Sedona again.

we were welcomed with the nicest room in the facilities we think. I liked that the hotel goes the extra mile to add color and southern flair to the rooms. it feels cozy and warm and the corner fireplace was sweet. Wish they had painted and carried on the same colors into the bathroom. its a lovely spot when you travel on a budget and it can definitely compete with the fancier Sedona properties.

Enjoyed my stay at Arabella. I guess we decided to go durning an expensive week because all the hotels in Sedona were priced high. The best part about the Arabella was how convenient it was to the village and downtown. We had no problem getting around. The grab and go breakfast made it easy for us to grab some food and take it hiking. The stay was comfortable. I would recommend.

The room doors open to the outside - giving the hotel charm and adding a quaint feel. The room was clean, bed very comfortable, and the noise level after 10 pm was quiet. Most incredible location ever. There were two areas to see the sunset over the Red Rocks ... one was a wedding venue (with two weddings over the weekend) and another smaller one. Even the drive up the mountain was stunning. This is probably one of the best locations in Sedona.
