I arrived here at midnight, at a big modern airport.
I arrived here at midnight, at a big modern airport. I saw bus system in action. Rode to the hub on #5 then waited for #16 to south Tryon to get to laQuinta. No traffic late at nite, unlike Manhattan (,my town). Downtown looks thriving, lots hotels restaurants and activities. Good sports town I think. The working people at midnight were friendly and helped me reach my destination.
Hotel staff also warm and respectful. Not sure I will ever return but loved that Charlotte airport. Bus system here is excellent even at midnight.

Eating areas are needed.
Eating areas are needed. Hotels menu's are limited, so you go outside seeking other options. We found a burger king in the bus station, seemed like an unlikely location for any food service, yikes.
The people are super nice and the city was very clean. I commend the city's efforts there.
Access in and out of town was easy too.
Thanks Charlotte for a lovely NCAA experience.
If you want team gear, bring it, no one sells it on site.
If you want a NCAA shirt of some sort, wait in line 30-40 minutes at the top of the escalator in the main entrance and still not get a common size large, isn't fun for the experience.

Charlotte has a lot to do and some really nice areas, but you need to be careful because there are a lot of rough and scary areas, Example, we went into a gas station to purchase a phone charger and the employees were wearing glocks with magazines, We were terrified.

I booked a Charlotte City tour which was fun.
I booked a Charlotte City tour which was fun. We ate at Harris Teeter's which is on the order of Whole Foods. They have good quality food and is commercially based in NC. I would like to have explored Charlotte a little more, but we just didn't have time since it was the weekend before Christmas. Charlotte is a hub for sports fanatics and there are a lot of different types of professional sports and teams in Charlotte NC. A lot of shops were closed. I would come back to Charlotte in the summertime.
We booked a room here prior to flying from Charlotte. It was the closest hotel we could find in a medium price range, with decent ratings. We stayed two seperate nights going and coming from our vacation. I can always find a positive in any situation, my only positive here was the shuttle to the airport both ways was free. Rather than go thru a list of issues that i found wrong I will simply rate it a 4 for my free shuttle and lesson learned to not stay here again!
We missed our flight due to weather and didn't want to stay over night at the airport. So this was a last minute booking/plan. We used the shuttle offered by this hotel, which was so helpful and convenient! Then we had a TV in our room that had a couple channels that had no sound. Maintenance came really quickly after we called and he said he would have to do a reset that would take longer. So he offered to do that or give us 15% off. We took the discount!
The receptionist Latisha gave excellent service. She was friendly, explained about the facilities in the hotel and where you can get something to eat. She even helped me with an issue in the evening with my room. The room was spacious and had fridge and microwave . Despite it being so close to the airport room buffered the noise pretty good. Shuttle driver was an older gentleman and he was awesome too.
Location, parking, and shuttle to airport were great. Breakfast was decent. Nothing out of ordinary but easy and plentiful. Bed was comfy. Our family of 4 never stays in 1 hotel room but we decided that since it was 1 short night we’d suck it up…we were pleasantly surprised by the space and plenty of towels. Good spot for going to the airport and pretty close to downtown Charlotte.
Love the location. It’s only about twenty minutes from uptown Charlotte. It’s right off the interstate, so the ease of getting to different areas of Charlotte is a breeze. The hotel is lovely, rooms are spacious, and free parking is a big plus. I would definitely choose this hotel over an uptown Charlotte hotel. Way less of a hassle.
The room was very comfortable as well as the bed. I also enjoyed having a refrigerator and microwave as some hotels do not offer that. It was also very quiet. I like that there is a shuttle service to the airport which you need to arrange at check-in to get you back to the airport the next day.
Great spot if you’re needing to go to the PNC pavilion. Charlotte doesn’t have much public transport so Uber is the best way I got around and it was super easy going to this hotel, with freeways close by. Staff are super lovely and my room was massive and clean. The bed was really comfy!
Had to switch rooms 4 times, Tv didn't work in in number 1 , no refrigerator in two, 3 microwave wouldn't stop beeping, settled on one with no microwave. manager offered us our money back if we would leave, however we had cabbed it there from the airport for 1 night.
10 min by foot from the tram station to downtown charlotte.. Rooms ewly renovated. Airport shuttle workd very well for us!
Room nice and newly renovated. Ideal for a night or two! Airport shuttle worked really well!!!!
The hotel was very clean and the staff was very nice. Nice gym, nice pool, enjoyed walking into the room and seeing my name on the TV. Very welcoming! And free shuttle to airport was a plus.
Best hotel I have ever stayed in. I will stay there again . Makes the Hilton look like a Comfort Inn. We stayed in the Hilton last year downtown Charlotte and it was a shit hole!
Decent location. We were able to find a strip mall & restaurants across the street. We planned to venture off to Uptown Charlotte which was about 15-20 mins away from hotel.
My favorite hotel when I visit Charlotte! I love the location, the ambience, always clean rooms and the luxury feel it provides. My go to hotel every time I am in the area.
