I was shocked when I arrived that people could be careless enough to build around these sacred places. Its sickened me . We took several hikes and enjoyed the absolute beauty of the place in spite of the commercialization . And we left early

There are hiking spots all over the place and so much majesty in the views are everywhere but expect a lot of traffic and expect to pay for parking if you leave your car to hike. Expect bike riders everywhere so if you are hiking, it's not so great to have bike riders whizzing by you. Some places have reasonably good food and choices for vegans but you may have to pay a hefty price. There is a lot of great shopping and fun boutiques as well as a place for antiques and stones and minerals.

As one couple told us, people come to visit, return a few times and then move here! Sedona is magical with its positive vibes and fabulous hiking trails. We suspect this may be a blue zone for senior citizens. We will certainly be back!

The Materhorn Inn was excellent and the views around Sedona were spectacular but a couple of days ]were enough for us. I can only take so much of jewellery shops, tat and rip off restaurants. And for the record - America has lost the plot on tips.

Spectacular views from every angle!
Spectacular views from every angle! Such a beautiful town, great little restaurants and shops, a gazillion red clay trails to hike and everyone is happy and friendly. Try Chocolatree even if you are not vegan. Vespa Healthy Italian imports all their bread-making flours from Italy, ferments them so naturally light and gluten free. One main highway which can sometimes get congested in high tourist season but the views instill patience. Need reservations for most good restaurants on weekends to avoid long waits.

One of the most beautiful places I have been.
One of the most beautiful places I have been. Very small town, breathtaking views. Easy to go to the Canyon. Tours available, rentals etc. Drove from Phoenix to Sedona and from Sedona to Grand Canyon South Rim. Great experience!
Looked at 4 different resorts for the weekend. Poco Diablo had the best rate for our stay along with some great views of the Sedona mountains. After checking in, we were taken aback by the size and cleanliness of the room. There was a complimentary bottle of chilled wine waiting for us along with a note wishing my wife and I a happy anniversary. The bed was very comfortable and the balcony had some great scenery of the resort. Poco Diablo you guys are the best and we will definitely be returning!
This hotel was perched at the top of Sedona, next to the airport.
The bedroom was big enough for 4, with 2 Queen beds, and even a small table and chairs to play some cards. The hotel is well entertained with beautiful gardens, a fish pond and outdoor sitting areas. Parking was available next to our room.
There is a shuttle that takes you anywhere in a 5 mile radius, which is very convenient if you don't wish to take you car.
I had an amazing stay at Arabella Sedona. It’s a cute boutique hotel with everything you need…..amazing Sedona views, complimentary breakfast, on site parking, outdoor pool, outdoor lounges, activities/events by local artistans , comfy rooms, great location, and very kind staff. They even surprised me with birthday cake. I will definitely be back because I really enjoyed my stay.
Highly recommend this location--a few miles outside of the tourist hubbub of Sedona, very peaceful. The pics of the swimming pool don't do it justice, it may be the biggest of any hotel in Sedona, so many are dinky "kidney", this was a full 25 yds. and VERY CLEAN, plus two hot tubs for soaking. A wonderful retreat after bumping elbows with the tourist crowds and traffic of Sedona.
Sedona Real is a nice hotel located close to everything in Sedona. Some of the best hiking trails are a 10-minute drive and there are so many dining options around the hotel. The property itself is very well maintained and the staff is super nice and friendly. The continental breakfast is a huge bonus. The rooms are a decent size and were very clean.
The most amazing view of the Red rocks from our room balcony. The hotel is cosy & in a great location as all shops & restaurants are in walking distance. This hotel is also listed by a lot of the tour companies for pick up. It is also located very close to the Sedona OHV routes for the best ATV off roading experiences - a must when in Sedona!
The Sedona location is prime. The size of the resort does not compare to most Marriott resorts. The amenities are nice, but should be for the value we hope to receive. The Marriott does it all better. Daily activities that include movies and bingo by the pool and mariachi and margaritas and kids club. Bicycle rentals, I could go on.
The location is the best if you want to explore nature and the exciting trails Sedona offers! Sandra was always willing to help during our stay but all was prepared for our arrival! We had a wonderful stay and will definetly recommend her place to anyone visiting Sedona!
This was the best hotel I have stayed at, loved it all. Wish I could have had more time there, loved the room and the accommodations. The building is beautiful, right in the middle of downtown Sedona and the rooms are amazing.
We came up from Chandler for spring break, this was our first time in Sedona and we couldn’t have picked a better location! It was me, my husband, mother and 3 kids and we had plenty of room to move around! Highly recommend!
I loved the care put into the garden which was beautiful as well as the common areas of the hotel - all made it feel like a home away from home. The location was also incredible - 5 min to many trailheads in west Sedona.
no breakfast offered and no pool but we LOVED the hotel- it was small and easy to get to within walking distance of EVERYthing in Sedona. The staff were so nice and the room was super clean! we want to come back!!!!
The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious, although it was quite dark.
The "lookout" spot and hiking from the hotel was absolutely spectacular!
It is about a 25 minute walk into the centre of Sedona.
Everytime My family and I visit Sedona we always stay in this Hotel.I loved the view of my balcony room. And the pool area.It will be perfect if they offer morning breakfast.
