LC offers a lot of beaches with good beach access, a casino, lots of restaurant options, hotels, an outlet mall, and other unique shopping options. There are several restaurants in the area with beach/ocean views. Traffic can get a little hectic during high tourist times.

the Roads End beach listed is more than a mile and a half from the hotel..the best bet is to just walk down 1/3-1/2 miles behind the hotel through the neighborhood, along the way is a little park called Connie Hansen botanical garden..then continue down 34th street past Connie Hansen and there is a beach access to get you right on the beach..from there you can walk the 1 1/2 miles of the beach to get to Roads End/God's Thumb area

Lincoln City is pretty good, it has plenty of different options for eating and has a pretty decent shopping area in a walkable area from a public free parking area, don't recommend the bathrooms at the parking area. Great beach access with free parking from multiple locations. Kite Festival in the summer and Finders Keepers all year round (altho I still haven't found a globe yet). Casino for some adult fun. Plenty of motels with a variety of amenities for your stay. Only thing I thick is lacking is another big attraction for kids like an Aquarium or something. But it's not too far to Depoe Bay to watch boats and waves or take a tour for whale watching or fishing. Then Newport where there is an Aquarium and loads of shopping areas. Even Tillamook isn't too far to go for the day to hit up the Tillamook cheese factory. Over all, Lincoln City is where we go to for a beach visit or extended stay. It's served us well for a our frequent beach visits. Thanks Lincoln City, we'll be back soon

Lincoln City is a delightful town on the Oregon Coast.
Lincoln City is a delightful town on the Oregon Coast. There is a lot to do and plenty of opportunity to see the ocean, even while just driving through. We dined at Mo's for dinner, which is always good for casual, yet delicious seafood. For breakfast Hilltop Inn can't be beat. Great food, reasonably-priced, and best of all outstanding customer service. Finders Keepers is wonderful. If you don't find a float, you might walk through the serene paths of the Connie Hansen Garden in the Wecoma section of town. You might find the hidden treasure of a painted rock to take home as a souvenir and post about it. The garden will also graciously take donations, if offered. A variety of lodging, dining, and shopping opportunities are waiting for you in Lincoln City.

Lincoln City is fine.
Lincoln City is fine. Next visit we'll plan for the summer, noit the winter. After walking on the beach and returning to a frigid room rather ruined the experience.
I am not a chronic complainer. I worked in the hotel industry (Westin, Seattle) for 20 in the Engineering Department. I recognize and appreciate a well-maintained facility and good customer service. I did not find it at the Surftides...far from it. In fact I would advise that travelers be far more circumspect on the reviews for this hotel than I was!

We go to Lincoln City often, as it's only an hour away.
We go to Lincoln City often, as it's only an hour away. There's lots of great shopping, and many beaches to explore. Also lots of good places to eat. They also hide hand blown glass balls/floats @ different times to hunt & find thru out the year.
The room faced the beach, which was exactly what we wanted. The room was clean, efficient, and comfortable. Check-in was easy and the front office staff were professional and kind. We could easily access the beach from a set of steps near the hotel so we got to walk on the beach in the evenings, and again in the morning. We also enjoyed they offered free ice so we could refill our cooler for the rest of our travels.
The room was very large, and the hotel is pet friendly. The (entirely free) breakfast was decent - there was a nice variety of things to eat and I'd say it was a step up from your typical continental breakfast. The hotel is close to the beach, the lake and even a river (the world's shortest river) and a nice walkway that's part of a state park. Though we didn't swim this time, the indoor pool seemed nice, too.
Great view from room, room overlooks the ocean, easy access to the beach, with public access next to the hotel. The room had a brand new kiergu coffee maker in the room with coffee and cups. For the price and location it is not a bad place to stay. Next time we go we will book one of the rooms with an outside hot tub and kitchen. And they are pet friendly big bonus to bring the dog.
They have upgraded this cute little place. When I lived in Lincoln City it was kind of a dive but it’s really cute now and we loved the extra bed available for our grandson! Is it on the beach? No. But it is clean and comfy and a great little place to stay!
Even though this hotel is located right on the hwy. It is very quiet! The rooms are extremely simple, but clean. We have stayed here many times and It is right for the price. Always really nice staff.
We really liked our stay in this hotel. It has a fantastic ocean view from the room and also a lovely balcony to chill and adoring view. Also, we really enjoyed the spa bath with an ocean view.
We love everything about this hotel. Staff are very friendly and pets are welcome. They even provide you with a pet basket that includes blanket for furniture, food bowls, treats and poop bags.
the hotel sits right on the beach. its in walking distance and that was pretty much the best part of our stay. the bed was comfortable. there's a restaurant on site for meals.
The Beach Manor Hotel is right on the beach. The room was very comfortable and spacious for a hotel room. The bathroom/shower was updated and very nice.
