Jose Ignacio is a beautiful place. Beaches are very nice and you can find very expensive and nice restaurants. The village was a little bit destroyed with a big avenue at the entrance in replacement of the former street. A big mistake made by local authorities but it is still a beautiful place. A little bit too expensive. For these prices, the place should be wonderful. It was but it's not anymore. So sad local people destroyed this so beautiful natural place. But still very nice if you live in the region.

Too expensive for what it is.
Too expensive for what it is. Even though the beach is beautiful and the vibe is curated, prices emulate Switzerland for half the service and half the diversity. Also, if you request the price of a product or service, you might get one price estimate the first day, immediately followed by a higher price the next day and so on. They are disconnected from international tourism and seem to think that a foreigner will pay anything to stay there.

José Ignacio is chill and relaxed.
José Ignacio is chill and relaxed. This is not a cheap destination but we found it was clean and quiet during the early part of February. The town is small and can be navigated without a car though a car would be helpful to get here. Otherwise intercity buses are available.

Jose Ignacio is the perfect place to feel like you are off...
Jose Ignacio is the perfect place to feel like you are off the grid. Beautiful and quiet. However, we were there in mid December and we were probably two weeks too early. Most restaurants were open, but the rest of the town was pretty dead.

Location -- right on the beach and a comfortable walk into Jose Ignacio and La Huela (great restaurant! great people watching!).
Staff -- loved the welcoming committee of property staff, hanging out and drinking mate. A very friendly experience.
Pool -- very nice and clean and great little cabana's for sun protection.
Restaurant -- Have Max make you pizza, and enjoy his breakfast. He makes everything himself and everything is delicious!
Everything was so great! the attention of the staff especially Pia & Mauricio going far and beyond to make us feel welcomed!!! Pia even went out of her way to help us with the luggage!! Just overall a beautiful experience! you have many activities that you can do like kayaking (which I highly recommend). if you want to enjoy Uruguay I highly recommend to stay here.
P.S if you love stargazing this is the best place!
Lovely small hotel. It was out of season , so we had the place to ourselves. Everywhere was nice and quiet. Fantastic town, 20 min walk. And amazing beaches, 5 mins away.
Breakfast was lovely with options to eat inside or out.
Gaston was great and his English is very good. He spent lots of time with us explaining what to do and where to go.
Bus service into Punta del Este was reliable and cheap, £2 a trip.
Everything. From Santiago greeting us and taking our luggage to Ines answering every single question we had upon arrival and booking all of our dinner reservations. Flor was just as amazing to us in the evening. All of the staff was kind and wonderful. After the first day they had our coffee orders memorized. It felt like we were the only ones there.
Santiago was amazing and went out of his way to spoil and look after us. Also Pedro, Adrian and the lovely girls looking after us for dinner. It felt like home.
Pool is divine

One of the coziest places to stay in Jose Ignacio. But if I have to highlight something it would be the VIP service of their staff ( Specially Andy, Patricia and Jacinto) they truly want you to live a one in a lifetime experience. Also the rooms are super comfortable and clean and the location is one of the best you can get in Jose Ignacio.
Casagrande hotel was a great experience in Jose Inacio. The building is new and the rooms are very well equipped.
The staff is friendly and always available to help the guest. Gimena help us a lot, suggesting and booking the wineries and restaurants nearby. Definitely I want to return.
right across from main area of Jose Ignacio. clean place with good vibes. smaller hostel vibes rooms felt like camp but the best thing about this place was the workers they were beyond nice and helpful and literally drove us places when we couldn’t get a cab
Tha staff was extremely nice, Santiago and Andrea were always available and ready to help. Upon our arrival we got free upgrade to the best room of the resort with amazing views. The outside area was very peaceful and perfect for a family weekend getaway.
Beautiful cabana near Jose Ignacio, lovely green gardens, spacious terrace, cozy bed, luxury bathroom and kitchenette - very personable and kind owner Camilo was there for everything we needed in the run up as well as during our stay, highly recommended
Great location, close to José Ignacio and with an awesome beach in front.
Great service from all the staff, easy communication when needing anything, and very attentive to cleanliness.
Comfortable beds and functional kitchen.
Milly on the evening reception is a natural, as was the girl in the restaurant in the evening. The bed was divine. Sand dunes and lapping of sea gorgeous. Cleaners perfectionists. Location good.
I got very lucky to find this place - I could walk across the street to the beach and from there, walk up the beach to Jose Ignacio and explore the town. Perfect way to ring in the new year!
