The hosts were exceptionally attentive and very gracious. They were very friendly and made us feel at home. Patrick and Magali were very personable and super nice. One day for breakfast they made homemade crepes, which were quite delicious! Our room was very comfortable and clean. Their property was very tranquil. If ever in the area again, we would certainly stay again.

The place was nice. But breakfast was the best we got: quantity, quality, & variety. 100% points on that. The atmosphere is nice, patio looking good too and rooms are fine.
Located across the street from the beach, Zen Boutique offers suites with panoramic ocean views. Guests can enjoy an Uruguayan barbecue on their private balconies. The hotel has an outdoor pool.
The location was great and was as advertised. However I felt the photos online were deceiving - on arrival the hotel looked tired and the rooms and spaces only confirmed that first impression. There was a nice view from my room however the windows were dirty which was a shame. The staff were friendly and helpful however which was nice.

Nice resort with an exceptional choice of beaches.
Nice resort with an exceptional choice of beaches. If one is windy, one can go to an other. Everything could be reached by walking. Great choice of gastronomic restaurants and fast-food outlets with local specialties and without any American chain! Great choice of lodging for any stay length (hotels and private homes).

I was there in December and thought this was the season for summer holidays on the beach in Uruguay, but the beaches and the whole town appeared almost empty of holiday guests. Maybe the school holidays are later, in January? La Paloma did not have a lot to offer for me.

La Paloma is a great place to visit.
La Paloma is a great place to visit. Very friendly people and beautiful places to visit. Even in the cold winter, there's something about the place that makes it very comforting and warm. Definitely would take advantage of the tour agency Senderos Tours. They have great trips around La Paloma and Rocha in general to places I would not have thought of to go on my own but were super magical.
Cabaña Mara is an absolute dream! The house is beautifully located among trees that provide shade, and Mara, the hostess, has planted beautiful flowers in the garden. Everything was spotless clean inside and nicely decorated with attention to detail. The kitchen is fully equipped and the whole house had nets on the windows for protection against mosquitos. The beaches nearby are marvellous and La Paloma has everything one needs (super market, pharmacy, bank, etc.). Would love to return to this place :)
I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming bed and breakfast in La Paloma, Uruguay. Nestled just two minutes away from the beach, its location couldn't be more perfect. This hidden gem exudes a sense of coziness that I find truly luxurious. It's unassuming, relaxed, and immensely comfortable – everything I value in a getaway. Whether you're with family, a small group of friends, or enjoying some solo time like myself, this little haven is where you want to be.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere tge Owner created with these little boutique hotel. Very stylish in the rooms as well as the reception area. Welcoming staff who were so helpful for all needs. Highly recommended to stsy here.
I really appreciated the kindness of the staff and the size of the room. Very confortable bed and nice view on the garden .
It s one of the rare hotel open in low season and that offer breakfast
Loved the spot, super close to shops, restaurants and beaches. The staff was really helpful as well. Price was spot on for the benefits, great overall, don't expect a 5 star hotel though.
