Our trip was a bit of a roller coaster , but overall we enjoyed our time there .
Highlights , 83 islands distillery tour was awesome . Mele beach bar great food , awesome staff and location and the fire show on Friday nights fantastic . Kids can swim at the beach , have a feed and watch the shoe -A+ . The markets were awesome as usual .
Low lights . We’ve been going to Vanuatu for over 20 yrs , and our recent trip to the cascades saddened us and emptied our wallets .
The current owners havnt maintained the place and the entry fee is extortion . The roads are next level knarly All 3 of our airport transfers were no shows which was disappointing but not the end of the world .
The people of Vanuatu are why we come back every time . They really are the friendliest people on earth .
Special shout out to Gideon and his family from Havanah eco lodge .
They treated us like family and we had a great time over there .

Port Villa is heaven on earth, I have been there 3 times and will always go back, with all the natural disasters this island goes through people are still so friendly and happy all the time, they live a simple life and always have a reason to smile, i strongly advise visiting the locals as it much better than staying in the resorts, the rivers , lagoons and beachs are surreal and its all so clean, the locals will always say hello and help you with anything you need.
There are plenty of taxis to go around, I would stay away from resorts for food and go into town as the resorts are extremely expensive and the town prices are so much cheaper.

Fresh food and souvenir markets were very well maintained.
Fresh food and souvenir markets were very well maintained. Indeed the waterfront esplanade area was attractive apart from the toilets behind the stage set up for MAC festival which had a $1.00 AU entry fee. Our trip on the coral viewing boat was worthwhile. The Museum was a great disappointment especially given the high entry fee and the seeming lack of curatorial care in presenting historical perspectives such as WW2 events and impacts of colonisation.

The local people were great: friendly, helpful and polite.
The local people were great: friendly, helpful and polite. There were good restaurants, particularly the Waterfront Bar and Grill. It was easy to get a taxi or bus on the street, but asking the hotel to get you a taxi may result in a long wait for their preferred driver to arrive.
We heard several stories from disappointed people who booked resorts where there was nothing to do and had ferry charges to get back to the mainland.

Exceptional place if you wish to get into the local lifestyle and explore the culture. There are nice places to visit like Mele Beach bar for Fire Dance, Blue Lagoon and Iririki Island for Snorkeling, Kayaking, swimming, casino and a lot more to offer that too at very affordable rates.

This villa is really well located for a short walk to the main street in Port Vila. Upon arrival, there was a note for me directing me to my room with the key in the door so I let myself into my bungalow and then went out to explore. The room was cozy, had a mosquito net and was clean. The a/c was extra so I didn't bother with it and the evening cooled down enough that it wasnt' really needed with the fans on in the bungalow. Pool was clean and refreshing after returning from a wander around town.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Marika on reception who so helpful. She is a great ambassador for Chantilly's. Small beach one minute walk from hotel pool was great. Water was just fabulous . Would suggest anyone going to Vanuatu to take wet shoes for the beaches as being a volcanic island very few if any really sandy beaches. Lots of rocks and stones. The rooms at Chantilly's were very spacious and the view from our rooms balcony was fabulous.
Locations is great, super nice beach, very close to town but far enough that you are in vanuatu, not in a town.
and there is a micro-climate, we were there during Christmas, raining heavily in Port Vila everyday but no rain and usually sunshine on that peninsula.
So highly recommended for the location.
Generally nice design even though not all villas are as finished as the vilal shown on photos (for instance contact vs pebble walls)
Staff at the villa is nice.
I will fly at 7:00 in the morning, looking for a hotel close to the airport, this hotel is on the main road, only 5 minutes by car, the transportation is very convenient, there are BUS and Taxi passing at any time. It's easy to get to the airport. To my surprise, the hotel had a postcard-like sunset on the waterfront, and the hotel was beautiful, which was far from my idea cheap price will not have good quality
The apartments are exactly as described here so no surprises when we arrived. Most importantly Beth has been a lifesaver when our plans in Vanuatu have changed multiple times courtesy of Air Vanuatu. She has been very flexible so we did not have to look for a room elsewhere in Port Vila. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Coral motel and of course meeting Beth and the rest of the staff.
Perfect location at walking distance from the airport. Bathroom is very clean, bedrooms are clean and comfortable, comes with excellent complimentary breakfast. Joy was such an amazing host as well, she really went the extra mile to make my stay very pleasant. Highly recommended for every stay in Port Vila, but especially when arriving late or departing early from the airport!
Bearing in mind that the area was still suffering from the effects of two recent cyclones (which for the hotel meant for example no pool and a limited menu), I enjoyed my stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The view from my room and from the restaurant area was stunning. The hotel is in a good location at one end of the shops etc in Port Vila, near to the market.
Lovely lodge in Port Vila. Conveniently located 10 min drive to the airport and 15 min walk to the city center. Nice restaurants nearby. Comfortable apartments with small kitchenette, nicely decorated, sea view apartments have a lovely view over the lagoon. Peaceful and quiet location. Very helpful staff, can recommend activities/tours.
We were in Vanuatu for 4 days, the hotel is a perfect place to stay in Port Vila very close to the city center and the beach, the staff of the hotel is so kind and perfect they help you for everything.
The food of the breakfast is delicious and cooked by William so good. I wanted to thank the person again for his kindness :)
Staffs there are so friendly, kind and helpful!! They arranged to make tour company to pick me up and arranged airport transfer for me!! Rosan is one of the amazing staffs there❣️ she cooked breakfast for me and gave me advices to enjoy exploring Port Vila! Was so lovely stay!!
Location was great, easy access to port vila and airport! Description of accommodation was absolutely spot on!!
Access to kayaks was great!
Peaceful and quiet, didnt know there were other guests during the day.
Rooms clean and well provisioned.
Reception super helpful!
Excellent breakfast selection, we loved the made to order omelettes, although the pastries were a little dry.
Room was a great size, plenty of space and big balcony with lovely view. Easy walk to supermarket, access to buses and Port Vila town (20 mins walk)
The Location is nice. People and Staff are very friendly. According to Google Map it is a 5 star hotel. That's not true. It's a 3 start hotel, no gym, no aircon, no TV, no internet in the bungalow, and the food was standard.
The hotel provided a true travel experience - local ni-Vanuatu people book this hotel daily so was able to meet & have enjoyable coversations from many different islands including remote islands.
