Guests staying with us love our unique combination of displaying modern and old decor and all the fine touches that we’ve added to the guesthouse.

Michal Groenewald (the host) is a photographer that spesialises in nature, birds and wildlife photography. He creates artworks of landscape wonders, birds in their natural habitat and moments of wild creatures. He focuses on capturing the visual beauty of nature, birds and wildlife to illustrate stories that have an everlasting impact. Some of the artwork are displayed in the guesthouse. He and his family never missed an opportunity to visit the Southern African Parks. Being in nature was a part of his lifestyle. Later on he dedicated his time to studying birds, listing and observing birdlife. He had the opportunity to share his birdlife knowledge as a guide at the Kruger National Park, South Africa. He has traveled to different habitats all over South Africa to list special birds that only occur there. As his passion expanded he traveled to Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique and set sail with BirdLife South Africa on the MSC Orchestra all the way to Marion island. His love for nature and passion for bird watching led to his photographic journey.

The ocean and mountain view from the Guesthouse is what bring guests back to stay with us again. Close to the Guesthouse visitors can experience many attractions like whale watching, shark cage diving, boat trips, the longest zipline over the ocean, museums, the lighthouse, restaurants, beaches and playing golf at Mosselbay or the beautiful Pinnacle Point golf course.
