Our boutique B&Bis situated in an old renovated house with a country farm feeling. It offers rooms situated in one wing of the house, but all with their own private entrance. Each room has an outside seating area in the courtyard (furniture made of recycled plastic). The rooms are modern and light with personal touches. We have used environmentally friendly materials and design and create as much as possible ourselves. The ocean can be seen from the breakfast and dining area and from our beautiful swimming pool. There are sun loungers, beach towels and umbrellas for your convenience. The B&B is situated in a tropical garden with big trees, flowers and palm trees and is very secluded. Know that the house lies on a hill so to access the house you need to use stairs. Bare Feet is situated 2 streets from the beach, which is a safe 5 minute walk or 3 minute drive. You have to see to understand why we fell for our little hidden paradise.

We have been running a very successful Big Five Lodge since 2009. Although an amazing experience we missed the ocean and a social life. After 3 years of searching for a "holiday house" we found this Old Grand Lady, but she was too big to be only a holiday house. That is when we decided to move, renovate and start a B&B. We are known for our personal service, our eye for detail and to go the extra mile to make our guests feel at home away from home. We are experienced divers, so can join you on a dive. Avid nature lovers so can give you tips about what to do in this lovely area. And being a chef and host serve amazing tasty food in a great ambiance.

We offer 3 rooms in a charming old renovated house on a hill in a quiet neighbourhood. Conveniently situated near the N2 Dududu turn off, 60 km South of Durban. The neighbourhood has great big trees and overlooks the Indian Ocean. From our B&B you can walk or drive to Scottburgh main beach known for its green lawn. If you like more peace and quiet, you can visit Clanstal beach or head for the rock pools at Rocky Bay. An hour’s drive down South you find Oribi Gorge and Eland Reserve for some nature activities. Looking for some city life? Take the N2 north and explore the boulevard of Durban and Umhlanga, visit Marine World or walk through the Botanical Gardens. For sports activities there are golf courses, mountain biking and hiking trails, deep sea fishing and diving.
