Company information

The hosts Elke and Erik are from Germany and are living for over forty five years in Hout Bay. They are only to pleased to assist you with the planning of day tours and sightseeing excursions and will on request undertake these as driver and guide in their VW Combi.

Property information

The modern furnished self-catering apartments as well as the garden cottage are situated in a quiet residential area. The generous garden lay out with large heated pool, a rustic barbecue, a thatched outbuilding with gym equipment and sauna, plenty of sheltered areas with pool loungers and garden furniture offer a cozy and relaxed stay. The "Terrace, Cottage and Balcony Nest" can accommodate sleeping for two to four guests, the "Africa Nest" for four to six guests and the "Garden Nest" offers sleeping for two guests. There are wonderful views over the Hout Bay Valley and/of the bay from the balcony or the terraces. The property has amble of secure off street parking. We offer airport shuttles, transports, as well as sightseeing and day tours in our VW combi. .

Neighbourhood information

Hout Bay is a scenic village on the Atlantic coast near Cape Town surrounded by mountains with a long white sandy beach and a picturesque fishing harbor. There are plenty of nice restaurants, interesting shops, a lot of sport facilities, the largest birds park in Africa and various hiking trails. The Sunday craft market on the "Village Green" is well worth a visit. At weekends a indoor market in the harbor with a variety of traditional stalls and a large selection of different food and drink outlets and life music offers interesting entertainment. The Cape of Good Hope can be reached along the steep coast via "Chapman"s Peak Drive" Within a twenty minute drive along the scenic coastal road one reaches the cable car station up to the majestic Table Mountain or the city of Cape Town with plenty of attractions and the "VA Waterfront". Along the wooded slopes of Table Mountain you can visit the well known botanical garden of "Kirstenbosch". On Sunday evenings during the summer you can enjoy open air concerts in the park and bring along you own picnic. The wine areas with popular places like Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franchhoek are only a one to two hour drive away.
