Welcome to Ganzvlei - the perfect blend of old-world nostalgia and contemporary country living. There are 3 en-suite bedrooms: the Garden & Pond Rooms are on the ground floor, with wood-burning fires for the colder months. The dreamy Loft Room is on the 1st floor, as well as a light-filled studio perfect for meditation and yoga - so pack your mat! There are lounges to while away the day, a dining room and a central fireplace to make sure you're cosy. The kitchen is fully equipped: stove (7 plate hob & 3 ovens), microwave, fridge, ice machine and dishwasher. An entertainer’s dream. Or ask us about hiring a private chef!! If you're an avid gardener, you're welcome to get your hands dirty. We love sharing our gardens, and it's not unusual for guests to leave with a plant or two. Bird life is abundant, so grab the house binocs and do some bird watching. You'll be under the watchful gaze of cows grazing in neighbouring paddocks. Great hiking, biking, birding, canoeing, golf, paragliding, sailing, surfing, fishing or lazing on the beach are all just a stone’s throw away. The Goukamma Nature Reserve, a World Heritage Site, is on our doorstep, offering a range of hiking, biking & running trails. Cast your fishing lines alongside local fisher folk at Buffalo Bay, a marine protected area where Southern Right whales return each year to breed and calve their young, and dolphins play in the waves year-round. The Reserve is also a popular birder’s destination with more than 220 recorded species. MUST DO: Wild Oats Farmers Market every Saturday morning. Unquestionably the BEST market on the garden route!
