Welcome was great and Emmy is fantastic. Breakfast really good. Not an issue with room noise and it is on the street so it is to be expected. All staff very friendly and happy to help. Litte touches always go a far way - petals and strawberries on bed for celebration of our anniversary.

We arrived very late for check in and the team were so helpful. They left me a note on the door with instructions find my room and where the keys were. It’s also a stunning place to stay and a 3 minute walk to the penguins.

From the moment you arrive William and his staff make you feel at home. All of the rooms in the property are very spacious and beautifully decorated we were very lucky and upgraded on our last night to the honeymoon suite which is out of this world. As we arrived after a long day we took William’s gracious invitation and stayed in for dinner which I can only describe as a private dining experience never to be forgotten. We had breads and dips for starters all homemade followed by line caught fish then desert. William also has a very good selection of wines to choose from at very reasonable prices.
The following morning we had fresh brewed coffee and tea before a large selection of breakfast items. We spent the day exploring the Cape and on our return opted again to stay in and eat with another fantastic meal share with other guests.
I cannot recommend Residence William French highly enough. From location as the nearest for the Cape to being next to Boulders Bay for the penguins. Exquisite rooms and fine dining. Thank you so much William and ladies.
Nestled between spectacular mountain scenery and False Bay on the Indian Ocean coast, this historic property welcomes guests to marvel at unforgettable panoramic views.

What a lovely guesthouse. The views. The room. The comfy bed. Gillian is a superb host - so attentive, polite and what a breakfast she cooks! I enjoyed using the light and airy communal area to catch up on work during the day - the views from the office were pretty epic that day.
This place is conveniently located between Kalk Bay and Simon's Town where I ate at some superb restaurants. There's also a handy mini mall with two supermarkets, just a short walk away.

Simon's Town is the perfect place to go to, to not be in the city, to relax and to unwind.
Boulder Beach was an exciting experience, and we truly enjoyed it.
We ate at Fran's Place on the Waterfront, and had the most delicious Seafood Platter.
The food at Willets Hotel is just as amazing!
In Sea Point, Cape Town itself, it feels unsafe to sit on the Beach for too long, but in Simon's Town we stayed on Long Beach until sunset.
It was a calming few days. Wished we could have stayed longer.

If you are looking for a peaceful place to entertain younger kids without the big commercial rush of the bigger more popular areas in Cape Town, I recommend Simons Town. So much to do with younger kids who enjoy the outdoors without the rush of a lot of people around you.
Hosts were amazing! Belinda become our mum away from home - always looking after us in the form of freshly baked cookies, occasional chocolate drop off's and constant updates about everything going on in the area.. This Greek Mommy has all the best restaurant spots (obviously) so do not hesitate to ask her opinion on things - You can tell she loves and cares for her guests and will go out of her way to ensure they have a memorable stay. :) Would recommend this spot to anyone visiting Simons Town - You won't be disappointed.
Very special place. The two managers do really everything they can do to make your stay enjoyable. There are so many little details that make this hotel special. Apart from the room there is plenty of ways to hang out - such as at the billard room or in the common room on the top floor. Wifi is fast, breakfast is sumptous, location offers great views over the bay from every room. A unique place - compared to centre of Cape Town at a fair price.
My favourite stay while travelling in South Africa! Emmy and her team at Willets Hotel go above and beyond to ensure you have the perfect stay. I very much appreciated their hospitality and kindness during my time in Simon's Town. The room was lovely, bright, and very comfortable. Emmy even organized a special New Year's Day breakfast for guests, which was amazing and delicious. Overall, the hotel felt like home. Highly recommend!
we had the most amazing stay at the cottons cottage. Best accomadation we stayed in in south africa. The cottage was perfect for us (Family of 4 adults) and we just loved everything, the Location, the View, the interior design, the comfy beds and the equipment of the cottage. It had everything .Big thank you also to Sheena, who was an amazing host and always available.
EVERYTHING! The hosts, Jenny’s breakfasts, the location, the attractions (pingouins, baboons, Cape of Good Hope reserve) were more than we were expecting! The view was great. it was a very safe area! Jenny, Andrew and Terry were so helpful. We cannot thank them enough! PS: Jenny makes the best scrambled eggs! We give you 5 stars!!! Thank You!
Watercolours Studio was one of my best stays ever on the Peninsula. Starting with the best host, Sharon makes you feel at home immediately. The location s perfect with incredible views, all facilities, decor and extra touches makes it 5 star in my books.
This would be my first choice of accommodation in this area in the future.
This place is a gem. This is a cozy little boutique hotel right steps from the famous penguin boulders beach.
The people and staff are amazing, friendly, and they will fulfill any expectation you have.
This is a great place to stay. Curio hotel is the way to go. Great place, and highly recommended.
Everything was exceptional! We enjoyed our stay and will recommend Roman Rock Apartments to anyone and everyone. The beauty of the views from the rooms and balcony is fantastic. I want to thank the hosts that made our stay wonderful and best of wishes for them. Thank you for your friendliness.
Everything was great. Lovely historic hotel with a warm ambiance. Great to have the restaurant/lounge and the location was perfect; right in the middle of town. Breakfast and coffee were great, bed super comfy. Wish we had booked for more days.
The breakfast is in the Saveur rertaurant below. Its ok. The room was clean and friendly, light. The hotel is close to the Pinguins at boulder beach as well as to the best restaurants in town. The parking is in front of the entrance
The room was perfect, clean with an amazing view to the sea and even to the penguins on the beach. The staff was welcoming and very generous and the location is the best. Totally recomended when visiting Simon's Bay.
Amazing views, stylish apartment, safe neighborhood. It was one of the best places I've ever stayed in(and I've stayed in hundreeds of hotels and bnbs). I hope to return someday to Quarterdeck.
The location is good & it will be best if you can offer breakfast. other than that everything is fine.
service is the best. View is nice and it is well located and family friendly
