Beautiful town but unfortunately we were only there for one night. If you want to see the Penguins then this is the spot. Lovely harbour and plenty of restaurants as well. Lovely beach and safe area

We love Simonstown. It is so quaint and picturesque.
We love Simonstown. It is so quaint and picturesque. We love the historical buildings and the friendliness of the people. It is a wonderful tourist destination as Cape Point is nearby as well as Boulders Beach with the famous penquins. Stunning views over the bay with the pretty yachts to view.

We had an amazing stay.
We had an amazing stay. Sandy was always available when needed. Talita and Johan welcomed us and familiarised us with the property and surrounding areas. Everything that we needed was provided. Thanks for the bottle of wine. We thoroughly enjoyed it

Simon's Town is the perfect place to go to, to not be in the city, to relax and to unwind.
Boulder Beach was an exciting experience, and we truly enjoyed it.
We ate at Fran's Place on the Waterfront, and had the most delicious Seafood Platter.
The food at Willets Hotel is just as amazing!
In Sea Point, Cape Town itself, it feels unsafe to sit on the Beach for too long, but in Simon's Town we stayed on Long Beach until sunset.
It was a calming few days. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Lovely locals and felt very safe here.
Lovely locals and felt very safe here. Fantastic spot for shopping and earthing and drinking. Drive to Cape Point and surrounding coast is amazing.
A little noisy late evening and early morning due to comings and goings with deliveries etc.

If you are looking for a peaceful place to entertain younger kids without the big commercial rush of the bigger more popular areas in Cape Town, I recommend Simons Town. So much to do with younger kids who enjoy the outdoors without the rush of a lot of people around you.
I read the booking user ratings, and said to myself, it's a bit much to be truth =).. But all of it was so true.. we enjoyed the staing in this property very much! <3 Hosts were very kind to us and there was not a single thing that i could say it went wrong in there.. thank you once more for everything.. Much recomended.. nice location.. quiet neighbrhood.. we stayed in more houses on our roadtrip through south Africa, all of them was great.. mybe we are yust lucky, but this was our favourite and best spot & accomodation..
The staff at Tintswalo Boulders were very attentive and we appreciated the explanations given. My husband said the omelet for breakfast was the best he ever had. I particularly liked that it feels like a (guest) house that feels cozy and intimate. You can't ask for a better location at Boulders with stunning views of False Bay. A great feature is the ability to access the boardwalks for a late afternoon/or early morning walk to see the penguins.
I spent two weeks here while studying at SAMTRA. The apartment is a perfect location, close to the school, close to the beach with a lovely sea view and easy to get into Cape Town. The owners went out of their way to ensure I had everything for a comfortable stay including a great study desk. The bed is very comfortable and the apartment was quiet. I couldn’t recommend enough for a fantastic location both to study and access Cape Town.
This Hotel was a great disappointment and the reception ladies acknowledged it. The staircase to the room was dirty, The furniture in the reception was not arranged properly, the carpets are dirty. The Shower was filthy.
We did not stay - actually could not stay. This Hotel should be down graded immediately. I would not give it a one star.
Nowhere is closer to African Penguins colony in Boulters Beach than this hotel. You can see Penguins everywhere around the hotel parking lot in the early and late hours. I even found one cute little guy (penguin) under my car! Don’t believe? Check this short video. BTW, the room has ocean view too!

Perfect location for us to explore the surroundings, views from the hotel and our room balcony were spectacular. Pool lovely. Added bonus is there is a Tuk Tuk available to take us where we wanted to go. Breakfast varied and delicious. Greeted by Jenny when we arrived and she gave us a photo of us on our departure sitting in the Tuk Tuk we loved.
This was my second time at the hotel, because the first time was lovely (and earlier this year). The staff at the front desk were all welcoming and very helpful, with one having to go far beyond what her job entails (and for which I am grateful). The breakfast was also amazing! And the sea views from the hotel are so calming.
It feels like you’re stepping back in time for a day or two. The older design and interior is so charming. Location itself is great, and it’s close to various restaurants and coffee shops.
Shami and the other staff members were so helpful and friendly - you guys are a great addition to the hotel!
Everything was exceptional! We enjoyed our stay and will recommend Roman Rock Apartments to anyone and everyone. The beauty of the views from the rooms and balcony is fantastic. I want to thank the hosts that made our stay wonderful and best of wishes for them. Thank you for your friendliness.
First of all the staff hospitality was remarkable, especially the owner who came to check on our needs and comfort. Amazing front place to relax and read with the best view of the horizon. Breakfast was the best we had during the whole trip! Food was prepared fresh and in tune to our liking.
We had a lovely time here.
This is a family run Hotel and is more of a laid-back beach hotel.
The rooms are spacious and nice. Bathrooms are quite modern.
The beach is right outside the hotel and baboons are frequent visitors.
Staff, including the owners are very nice and friendly
Loved our stay at Boat House!
Beautiful location and the most relaxing morning view to wake up to.
The room was high class yet cozy, and the breakfast was the best we had in South Africa!
The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and shared some good tips.
We definitely recommend!
everything just perfect: Amazing hotel, the views from the rooms as well as infinity pool are just stunning, Garth is one of the best hosts, very delicious freshly made breakfast,… - all in all, we will definitely be staying again!
Lovely hosts, thorough communication. The area was lovely and it was such a beautiful view of Simon's Town. It is amazing on top of the mountain. The view is the best part. In the heart of nature. Had a great stay.
Everything was excellent. The best place I ever stayed. They made as feel so welcome, nothing was missing and they made sure if we needed something they would get it. TYVM this was a wonderful 3 days
It’s a beautiful old, modernized hotel. The rooms r large and the decor beautiful. The manager and staff were all great and the breakfast also, very good. I am returning later again this week.
We didn’t really like this property. We actually checked out after a couple of hours because we couldn’t face staying here - we drove to Cape Town early because of this.
I spent 4 days at the property and it is absolutely lovely!! 10 of 10!! Zu is an amazing host and I can wait to be back there, definitely the best choice!!!!
