Hout Bay has a large white sandy beach .. the ocean is fresh. There are many restaurants, shops and bars. Chapman’s Peak Drive is a must, an amazing scenic route to Noordhoek where Cape Point Wine Estate offers wine tasting and sushi or oyster pairings and picnics on the slopes looking over the ocean. There is also an amazing restaurant. If you drive the opposite way out of Hout Bay, you will discover the Constantia Wine Route with seven or eight beautiful wine estates offering food and wine tasting. Hout Bay is the perfect place to stay, it is charming , surrounded by mountains.
I thoroughly recommend Chapman’s Peak Hotel, a friendly, family run hotel with lovely staff and an old world feel. Breakfast. Is served on the terrace and I dined on prawns, calamari and fresh line fish of the day. The roof top pool is an added bonus! Great value for money.

Hout Bay is an incredibly scenic place with beautiful mountain cliffs coming down to the waters edge. The drive in over Chapman’s Peak was amazing despite the toll fee! We had a great stay at the Hout Bay Breeze accommodation and a beautiful meal at the Mariner’s Wharf restaurant.

Hout Bay is an amazing place.
Hout Bay is an amazing place. We keep returning there every time we visit the Cape. The main restaurant on the harbor disappointed me a little with very high prices, but Dunes restaurant blew us away with excellent food and wine. The views of mountain and the amazing beach are true treasures in Hout Bay

We liked being near a great wine region.
We liked being near a great wine region. The coastal and hillside scenery is magnificent. There is relatively easy access to Cape Town, especially Table Mountain, The Waterfront and Kirstenbosch Gardens. The Cape of Good Hope is within easy reach via Chapmans Peak Drive. We enjoyed our meals at Mariner's Wharf, Chapmans Peak Hotel and Cape Point Vineyards. We really enjoyed the walk to Sandy Bay from nearby Llandudno and the Seal Island boat trip from Hout Bay Wharf.

We had wonderful holidays in Manor and really enjoyed the stay. Initially we booked a room for 2 x nights but ended up staying 5 x nights.
The hotel is just great: interior is beautiful and authentic (my recommendation is Zulu room), lovely lobby and outstanding restaurant serving breakfasts, lunch and dinner. Food quality is fantastic and prices are good.
I would like to highlight the staff that was just great and helpful, especially the waiters in the restaurant!
We would definitely like to come back one day!
Our recent stay at Hout Bay Hilltop exceeded all expectation. Serene and privacy with spectacular view. House is spacious, pleasantly decorated, provided modern comfort. The outdoor space with a private pool and stunning views was certainly a highlight Marc is hospitable and prompt to reply to any query. The accommodation is truly a gem. If you're looking for a retreat in Cape Town, look no further than Hout Bay Hilltop You won't be disappointed
A delightful cottage in a fabulous garden setting, lovely cool shade under a banana tree in the heat of the day. Every need for self catering had been anticipated, including, a great bonus, sharp knives. Scrupulously clean and very comfortable, large and airy. Hout Bay with its beach, shops and restaurants a five minutes drive away. We would definitely recommend and hope very much to be back in the future. Thank you to Glenda the housekeeper.
The location of this home is absolutely beautiful, overlooking Hout Bay! It’s a very short drive down to the main beach area. The whole house is so stunning and has a lovely stylish touch, especially the garden. The swimming pool area along with the balcony/porch is so beautiful! The host Andi was also so friendly and made us both feel so welcome. He really has a wonderful home!
Sylvie and all staff were very friendly. Room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated in a beachy style. Great breakfast to choice with warm American muffins to die for. Good location for Hout Bay central without being right in town and so handy for a short walk to be on the beach
A gem of a place to stay - hidden away on a residential street, wonderful views, beautifully furnished. Sue and Martin are lovely hosts - kind, warm and full of good tips. We loved being in Hout Bay, it felt liked an oasis after a day in the city.
Everything one needed in a beautiful secluded environment. Close to anywhere in Hout Bay and bus to the city. Olivia was great. Friendly and informative with clear communication skills.
It is a stunning property with the best appliances. It felt safe and is perfectly located close to shops and to other areas within Cape Town. We couldn't have asked for anything more.
Absolutely perfect stay! Helpful host, fantastic room, nice view and surroundings. All you need during holidays.
Hout Bay is also great base to visit Cape Town and Cape of Good Hope.
We had a lovely stay at Hout Bay Manor, the room was delightful, the food was great, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it.
Beautiful property in Hout Bay with spectacular views of the surrounding bay. The rooms and grounds were very clean and well maintained with very friendly staff.
