Paarl has a very interesting Main Street if you enjoy architecture: there are a couple of centuries of architectural styles here. The scenery and surrounding mountains are spectacular and of course … let’s not forget all those gorgeous wine estates, tastings and food pairings.

There is more than enough quality and good restaurants.
There is more than enough quality and good restaurants. Lots of things to do (e.g. el Paca farm). beautiful surrounds and fairly quiet. The only detractor are the beggars on the streets - I never felt threatened, but it gets a bit much after a while.

The Laborie location is perfect ..close access the highway .
The Laborie location is perfect ..close access the highway ..and not far from Franschoek and Stellenbosch. We really enjoy the Winelands and prefer it to the the hustle and bustle of Central Cape Town. Paarl itself is quaint and quiet ..although in fairness we did not venture out into the wineland area of Paarl ..as our trip was too s hort ..only 5 days ..next time it will be for two weeks ..

Paarl is a wonderful place, surrounded by beautiful scenery, the mountains seem to be 'following' you every way you turn, like a sun flower! Wonderful, gentle people, always smiling, always quick to help or offer a reason to make you smile with them!
I often travel for business & there's never enough time to explore the area in earnest! The cheese & the wines...a perfect addition to complete the awesomeness of this place!
Also close to other attractive places, like Stellenbosch, Franschhoek & a myriad of wine farms, all easy to get to.
A magnificent 17th century manor house. We were lucky to stay in the main building - it is a real palace with antique furniture, bathrooms and a huge living room. In the morning, an excellent breakfast was served in the room with a fireplace - very pleasant in bad weather. Next to the hotel there is a charming winery Fairview with good wine and goat cheese tasting. We were recommended restaurants in the city of Paarl where we could have dinner in the evening. I really hope to return to Diamond Estate in the summer)
I have stayed at Goedemoed under its current and previous owners several times since 2010. It is perhaps my favorite place to stay in all of South Africa. Stunning views over the vineyards to the mountains in the distance. The property, centered around a Dutch colonial manor house, has recently been renovated. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly hosts. Feels like you are in the middle of the countryside when actually you are two minutes from the Paarl Mall or the restaurants on Paarl's main road.
Delightful boutique room in a row of several similar rooms on a farm on the residential outskirts of Paarl. The room was large and well equipped. Debbie the manager met us on arrival and showed us around. Big bathroom, good shower. We drove to a nearby restaurant but could have walked if it wasn't raining. Breakfast in a nearby building was plentiful and tasty. The swimming pool behind the apartments looked inviting but we didn't get a chance to use it.
I had a nice stay in a separate building called 'Die stal'. They have upgraded to a boutique hotel since I was there last time. The room was very comfortable & clean and the check-in was very smooth. The location is excellent close to many restaurants and bars. Parking is very safe and convenient next to the garden area at the back of the hotel. The breakfast was nice as well.
The location is excellent, plenty cafes, restaurants and a bar or two to chose from.
Adel the hostess is absolutely delightful, nothing is an issue.
They thought of everything. Dryer, hair straightener, good quality shower products, sewing kit, you name it.
Highly recommend a stay here if you are doing a winery tour. Not to mention that Paarl is a lovely place to visit.

The Paarl golf course club house a 5 min walk for excellent and good value food and drinks
Everything about Perle du Cap is special! From the moment you drive in and are shown to your elegantly furnished room, you are made to feel welcome. The view from the balcony is magnificent and the little stream and waterfall at the bottom of the garden, so peaceful. A little slice of heaven on our whirlwind visit to Paarl.
It was on a working farm in the Paarl district which was lovely. Marike was a wonderful host and very helpful. We had everything we needed. We loved the dogs and the peace and quiet and felt safe. Sitting at the pool was lovely too and walking on the farm was wonderful.
A very well-appointed room in a newly renovated farm boutique hotel. Set in a beautiful garden, and managed by excellent staff. The breakfast was amazing. Simple, but executed perfectly. Probably one of the tastiest I’ve ever had in a hotel. Loved our short stay.
Great location for short stay in Paarl. Secure gated oasis with lovely seated veranda overlooking the gardens. Walking distance to coffee shop and a few restaurants. Christelle and Johan run a fabulous guest house and were really helpful and friendly.
Paarl was a nice place to base from. Suite was larger than expected. Very large bed, bedroom, and bathroom. Common area table to sit out and drink coffee in the am. Happily surprised about washing machine (just be sure to use the quick setting).
2nd stay in the King Suite and it was just as awesome as the first. Luxurious accommodation and perfect for self-catering with every amenity you can think of. Deck and jacuzzi with fantastic views. Thanks to Rita for being a wonderful host.
Paarl Hideaway exceeded our expectations. We only stayed there for one night and were looking for a sleepover accommodation but after visiting we blown away by the beauty of the place and would like to visit again and stay longer in Paarl.
Great secure little place in Paarl with all the amenities required. Friendly staff and host. Was a-great stay for our needs. Thank you for the welcoming present in the fridge.
Excellent location with easy access to Paarl attractions and Winelands. House is comfortable, with lovely stoep and braai area. Comfortable beds. Gardens well kept and neat.
We spent one night at the Zomerlust. It is located right on the main road in Paarl i.e. very central. It’s a quaint , old house that has been turned into a hotel.
Set in beautiful surroundings, very conveniently situated just outside Paarl. Our lodges were super clean and styled very tastefully and plenty of room
