As Paarl is my home town I’m probably a little biased.
As Paarl is my home town I’m probably a little biased. The town has much to offer. The historic Main Street, so put on your walking shoes. For those travellers who enjoy wine Paarl has a lot to offer. There are plenty of wine estates to visit including the KWV winery. A visit to Paarl Rock is a must with stunning views across the valley. Paarl is home to the Afrikaans language visit the Taal Monument. For those travellers who want a relaxing break, Paarl is for you. Paarl unlike other Wineland towns like Stellenbosch and Franshoek is a lot less quieter with fewer tourists. A gem not to be missed.

Paarl has a very interesting Main Street if you enjoy architecture: there are a couple of centuries of architectural styles here. The scenery and surrounding mountains are spectacular and of course … let’s not forget all those gorgeous wine estates, tastings and food pairings.

There is more than enough quality and good restaurants.
There is more than enough quality and good restaurants. Lots of things to do (e.g. el Paca farm). beautiful surrounds and fairly quiet. The only detractor are the beggars on the streets - I never felt threatened, but it gets a bit much after a while.

The Laborie location is perfect ..close access the highway .
The Laborie location is perfect ..close access the highway ..and not far from Franschoek and Stellenbosch. We really enjoy the Winelands and prefer it to the the hustle and bustle of Central Cape Town. Paarl itself is quaint and quiet ..although in fairness we did not venture out into the wineland area of Paarl ..as our trip was too s hort ..only 5 days ..next time it will be for two weeks ..
I have stayed at Goedemoed under its current and previous owners several times since 2010. It is perhaps my favorite place to stay in all of South Africa. Stunning views over the vineyards to the mountains in the distance. The property, centered around a Dutch colonial manor house, has recently been renovated. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly hosts. Feels like you are in the middle of the countryside when actually you are two minutes from the Paarl Mall or the restaurants on Paarl's main road.
Quaint unpretentious cottage on a working wine farm run by the family owners. Amazingly comfortable beds. The cottage is well appointed for both short and longer term stays. Stunning views. Central to be Paarl winelands and a perfect place to base explorations of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek wine regions. Staff are exceptional. The family owners live and work on the estate and are welcoming to their guests.
During my stay at Adara Palmiet Valley Hotel, I was impressed by the attentive staff who provided exceptional service.
The room was beautifully appointed, offering stunning views of the picturesque terrain. The beautiful hydrangeas spread across the hotel grounds made for a peaceful and rejuvenating escape.
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a tranquil and luxurious retreat.
This is a great place located in the middle of small vineyard in its own building. 11 rooms total. Ina and the staff couldn't be more helpful or enthusiastic. Its located in a great location in the middle of the Cape Winelands area near Paarl (about a 5 minute drive) and halfway between Stellenbosch and Franschoek less than 90 minute drive from Cape Town Airport. A great value as well.
Very nice large property with various guest houses - very spacious apartments with living room, bedroom, and bathroom - very good breakfast and dinner in excellent restaurant - two great pools - very helpful staff. Easy access to wine areas in Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch.
It was on a working farm in the Paarl district which was lovely. Marike was a wonderful host and very helpful. We had everything we needed. We loved the dogs and the peace and quiet and felt safe. Sitting at the pool was lovely too and walking on the farm was wonderful.
We didn’t like it we loved it !! wonderful old world feeling to this property, we had the cheaper garden room but was super comfy, ‘older style’ but very chic and the grounds were spectacular, felt very private because there’s so much space….
We loved our stay at Paarl Hideaway. The room is spacious, light, beautifully decorated and faces a lush garden. Leonhard and Nicolette were gracious and generous hosts. So many thoughtful spoils. Thank you.
Wonderful new peaceful and private cottage with views over Paarl and mountains. Very clean and tidy and beautifully decorated. Sarine and her husband are lovely people. We enjoyed our stay very much.
I was in Paarl for School sport and Madeliefie is right next to the school, it was very convenient to come and go. he accommodation is lovely, well set out and has everything that you need.
Fantastic self catering Cottage, clean, neat, safe and secure and all the facilities we needed. Would definitely visit again. Lovely hostess. Thanks to Sandra!
Breakfast was great - variety on offer each day.
Location was excellent - in terms of Paarl itself AND the surrounding winelands area.
Highly recommended !
A beautiful, well designed and thoughtfully decorated cottage on a small farm just outside the town of Paarl. We loved everything about this little gem 🌟
