It is a wonderful tourist destination as Cape Point is nearby as well as Boulders Beach with the famous penquins. Simon's Town is the perfect place to go to, to not be in the city, to relax and to unwind. Boulder Beach was an exciting experience, and we truly enjoyed it. We ate at Fran's Place on the Waterfront, and had the most delicious Seafood Platter. The food at Willets Hotel is just as amazing! In Sea Point, Cape Town itself, it feels unsafe to sit on the Beach for too long, but in Simon's Town we stayed on Long Beach until sunset. It was a calming few days. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Lovely locals and felt very safe here. Fantastic spot for shopping and earthing and drinking. Drive to Cape Point and surrounding coast is amazing. A little noisy late evening and early morning due to comings and goings with deliveries etc.

If you are looking for a peaceful place to entertain younger kids without the big commercial rush of the bigger more popular areas in Cape Town, I recommend Simons Town. So much to do with younger kids who enjoy the outdoors without the rush of a lot of people around you.

There were flowers and chocolate waiting for me in the room, which was well-equipped with a kettle, microwave oven etc. The setting is very pretty and location ideal = penguins are within walking distance! I'm very glad I decided to choose this place as a starting point of my Southern African exploration. I think it was much better to come here instead of going directly to Cape Town's hustle and bustle.
