We warmly recommend. Beautiful, peaceful and tastefully decorated resort, 25min walk from the town away from the hectic tourist spots. Our stay was comfortable, the rooms were really nice, spacious and had lovely views. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff was outstanding. Special thanks to patiently trying to speak slow and clear Chinese to us beginners (English and apps also worked, communication overall good!). plenty of breakfast choices, also other meals provided. bikes can be rented just next door.

The main attractions of Lanshan Wangyue Hotel are the outstanding location in a village not too far from the town of Yangshuo, but with a feeling of old rural China and magnificent unobstructed view of the karst peaks in all directions; and the friendly service by the owners, Mark Ma, Li Wu and Siwei, and their hard-working and helpful staff. Additionally, the rooms are commodious and offer full views-- distant mountains from the front, the village and close mountains on the back side. The beds are new and great for sleeping, plus the rooms have good insulation and are very quiet. The proprietors find out what the guests wish to do, and custom arrange and lead excursions into the surrounding countryside. In an area that has lots of tourists (almost all domestic Chinese), they can take guests on bike trips or hikes to places that no one else visits. Ask them to take you on the half hour climb up to the old Qing Dynasty bandits lair in a cave high above the surrounding countryside, or to one of the ancient villages in the area. So much to see and do in the area, with some of the finest scenery in China.

Our experience at the hotel was incredible, with all my heart I would like everyone who wants to go to this area of ​​China to stay at this hotel, everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel is wonderful, the views, the breakfast is delicious and the food in the restaurant is excellent, the hotel staff and the boss are incredible, very attentive and helpful, the rooms are very clean and spacious. The activities in this area are endless so if you want to go, but you don't have planned activities, don't worry, the hotel staff has many activities to recommend and will help you plan it.
