Great location a short walk from where the bus stops. Unfriendly owners not welcoming or maybe he wasn’t in a good humor.
Nothing special despite the praising reviews from others. The room is okay for one night. When I asked him if I could have a breakfast at 7 in the morning the next day which was included in the room price, he replied at 7:30. It seems to much for him what the guest request.
This is the only place I meet an unfriendly hotel owner of my entire trip around Nepal. The wifi works pretty good which is important for everyone I think.

Bandipur is like a toy town or a street from a movie set.
Bandipur is like a toy town or a street from a movie set. There is no traffic allowed in the main roads and it is exceptionally clean for Nepal and Asian standards. There are plenty of restaurants that cater to tourist tastes and cute bakeries and small guesthouses offering very reasonable rates. It is a great place to just chill and not do very much. The main attraction is walking or biking up to Siddha cave and taking nice walks around the town. If your looking for pure peace and quiet, this is a great town for it. There are many more tourists than locals in the main street, many whom come from China across the border. On a clear morning you can see the snow capped mountains.

We only stayed one night.
We only stayed one night. Enjoyed the sunset view / walk on Thani Mai and sunrise walk to Tundikhel. The sunset walk and the sunset view in Thani mai was amazing. The walk to the Bazaar was very enjoyable with the pedastrianised streets. Kind of a European feel. It will be a good stop destination from Kathmandu to Pokhara or the other way.

Bandipur is a "wheels-free" village.
Bandipur is a "wheels-free" village. Although small in size, it is quaint and fascinating with a variety of cuisine on offer in small cozy restaurants.
What makes it stand out is the Newari style of architecture which is very well preserved even today.
Although not on the regular tourist route, it is must visit place - a two-night, three-day stay is good enough unless you wish to go trekking.

Very traditional village to enjoy local culture.
Very traditional village to enjoy local culture. Set high above the valley there are nice walks around the village, and further to the Siddha Cave and the village of Ramkot which is like going back in time. The cave entrance including guide is 200NPR. Coming back is fairly steep and quite strenuous but you can also carry on down to the main road and take a taxi to Bandipur. Ramkot is a fairly easy walk, couple of hours each way at most. After the noise and pollution of Kathmandu and the commercialisation of Pokhara, Bandipur is an excellent place to wind down.

Bandipur is a pearl.
Bandipur is a pearl. If you decide to go there, save at least 2 days! Walking around this town, especially to Ramkot (village that feels like stepping into a movie or going back to the past) will be an amazing experience which you will never forget. Cars and horns are forbidden in Bandipur so the only sounds you can hear are goats, cows, birds, joyfull children or foodsellers.

We relished the opportunity to escape motorbikes and cars...
We relished the opportunity to escape motorbikes and cars after Kathmandu. Bandipur seems to be a little known escape from the urban hustle and worth the tiny extra effort to get there. The renovation of the tourist centre is excellent with retention of century old homes. These made an interesting contrast to the surrounding streets of Bandipur, with a mix of more modern as well as more basic homes and the integration of agricultural practices in semi-urban living.
We walked to Ramkot which was fascinating.
