I was working while my family enjoyed the hotel. It was convenient to have a restaurant on site and 2 pools. I was disappointed that the playground was removed though.

Although I loved Pacific Edge Eco Lodge and would definitely return, I found the little town of Dominical a bit off-putting. Seemed to be filled with aging gringos with no particular layout or planning. The beach was gorgeous though.
Also, we visited Naucaya Waterfall, several miles from Dominical which was fabulous.

Beautiful laid-back area with lots of things to do within an easy drive. Great beach area and a charming little town with lots of great places to shop and dine. We especially loved waffle fries at Fuego Brewing Company (and the cute treetop vibe), tacos at Hotel Rio Del Lindo, and homemade empanadas at Mama Toucans Natural Foods Store.

Dominical is like Ubud or Goa in the 90s- a chilled yoga/surf town. Hippie yoga pants and hammocks are on sale in the shops; Mama toucans sells pretty much everything from vegan food, chocolate and cosmetics. The food here is phenomenal: Phat noodle is excellent, Fuego brews its own beer from passion fruit to a blonde lager and has an excellent menu, the Pescado loco is a small menu but omg the fish taco was sublime. The restaurants are laid back but are really world class food stops. Very close to nauyaca waterfall, the reptile Centre, Alturas and Uvita & whale tail. But the best part is the excellent yoga on offer at Danyasa, which has the most beautiful yoga shala I have ever been in. Rockstar yoga is also great- fab teachers & a lovely space. I loved this place. Super friendly - feels v safe for a female traveler. Quite a few long term residents & off-griders here

If you love surfing, quiet beach town vibes.
If you love surfing, quiet beach town vibes. This is your place. We surfed every day. It’s beautiful. Some great restaurants around too like the Thai place. We did yoga in the yoga place up the road too. And there’s an organic market ‘mama toucan’ where we got some yummmy food as I’m Gluten Free and dairy free and there was lots of options for me

We loved the beach and there were lots of places to get a variety of food and drink. We loved the pineapple juice from the beach bar and also the milk shakes and frappe from the ice cream place just as you turn into Dominical from the main road. There was a lovely walk along the river road too.
Absolutely loved this place. You can easily (10 + min) walk to the Dominical beach and vibrant 'town center', allthough it feels very remote/secluded. Great room, good beds and kitchen. Very welcoming host. We visited on our way to Corcovado, it's perfect for a two-night (or longer) stopover to enjoy the nearby beaches. Nice restaurants and bars nearby. You can walk up the river and spot some wildlife as well.
This is a wonderful place to stay on the outskirts of Dominical. The property is gorgeous and all of the facilities (pool, restaurant, etc) are great. The room was perfect - clean and spacious, with a private outdoor seating area. The location is a pleasant 10 min walk from shops, ATM, etc. and 20 min to the beach. Will definitely come again.
The view from the lodge is nothing short of stunning and the property is gorgeous. It's also conveniently situated within a short distance from several beautiful (and empty) beaches. Sid and Michaelynn are fantastic hosts: warm, friendly, and hospitable. Breakfast was fresh and delicious - well worth the extra fee. Highly recommended.
The location of the hotel is great and you feel right at home thanks to the very kind owners!
The room is nice and clean. Also the general vibe is very relaxed.
At first the hot water in the shower didn't work but the owner fixed it immediately - so great service.
Close to the beach - the most beautiful sunsets of Costa Rica.
What a score! Dominical is a smaller town but a great option for a few days stay. The hotel includes a pool, a spacious bar/restaurant and hangout area (it even has a pool table) and lots of trees, flowers and birds. We were able to park our car at the hotel and walk everywhere. We'd definately recommend Rio Lindo Hotel.
Conveniently located to Dominical , though the road is bumpy. Beautiful property, comfortable room, great value. A short walk to an excellent restaurant, the Crocodile Grill & Bar, located in the Hotel Villas Rio Del Mar.
Hotel was located on Main Street of Dominical. Walking distance from restaurants and beach. Nice pool, yoga mats, water and Oracle cards available for use. Very cute jewelry in reception area. VERY comfortable bed.
Location extremely fantastic. Just next to beach. Beach towels and chairs available for free. Nice bed and pillows. Good AC. Doors for combination lock so you don’t need to worry about key on the beach.
Only stayed a night but would definitely have stayed longer had I had the time. The room was comfortable, the hotel close to the beach and the welcome friendly
