Lovely and extremely helpful and supportive staff! They advised me on how to get around the island and even offered to take me to the port by motorcycle so I could catch my ferry in the morning. The hostel has a nice terrasse and a very clean and well-equipped kitchen, as well as good fans in the dorm. Definitely recommend!

Enjoyed my stay at the Rancho a lot! Very quiet and relaxing location, definitely out of town down the sandy road and past the local family houses. Rural and calm. Breakfast was delicious and room very clean. The hosts were kind and helpful. Offered some information and recommendations about what to do & see on the island, lent a scooter and helped with transport.
Beautiful off the grid experience yet close to the main town.

Mountain when you like. We did a motorcycle tour. Renting one or a scooter is very affordable and the scenery is very nice. Very great food at the lakefront at Julia’s, almost opposite of ecolodge chiponge
The Italian restaurant in the village on the walking street, without traffic, was great too , especially the pizza

We arrived at the end of the busy season (April 1st) which was nice, but it was hot, water had dried up, and many of the "tours" were not worth the time or money.
The people were great! The food was awesome! And we loved exploring the island on our scooter.
Definitely recommend Cafe Campestre! The pasta was OUTSTANDING and the people were fantastic.
We didn't get a good-vibe from Chocolate Paradise - walked in - many people - nobody acknowledged our existence - so we left

We loved Moyogalpa. It's really colourful.
We loved Moyogalpa. It's really colourful. Some people told us not to stay at the port town but we found it to be awesome, it's cool to have a wonder round day and night and the people are so friendly.

This is a really lovely little town by the port.
This is a really lovely little town by the port. No fuss and in low season when we visited not too touristy. The volcano hike is really tough as it’s constant ascent without respite but very rewarding. Also renting scooters and exploring the island is easy and highly recommended.

Moyogalpa is a nice little town but know that most things you want to do are oh the southern part of the island. It’s a bus/4x4/scooter ride (45 minutes probably) but very quaint with everything you need.
Jean at El Picante restaurant is very amiable and pleasant. The food is good.
Going down to El Peru to kayak the Rio Istián was the highlight of the island.
Dayanys in the reception was really friendly and helpful. She helped us with renting scooters for a day for 15$ each and we got our full deposit back - we heard a lot of horror stories from other travellers who got scammed by scooter agencies, so we were really happy that Dayanys helped us and made sure everything was all right. Breakfast is delicious and there are some nice common areas.
Very nice hotel, we really liked it there
Location and surroundings are great. Close to the moyogalpa ferry is very convenient. We rented scooters and it's easy to go through the whole island within a day. Rooms are big with private bathrooms, the common space is super spacious and enjoyable with a nice breeze. Good WiFi. Breakfast is awesome and overall service is absolutely amazing, makes you feel better than home!
The owner of the property is so lovely and nice, I really appreciated her. The hostel itself has such a cool design, with wall murals and hammocks in the common areas. This is a great location if you are taking the ferry in and want to be close, and very affordable. They allowed me to rent a Nicole one day, and to store my luggage the day I was checking out.
Everything! We stayed here 1 night before going back to Managua and it was everything we hoped for. Close to Moyogalpa, clean, the host was super knowledgeable about bus times and our trip to the airport was flawless thanks to him. I loved the open shared space that feels much cooler than the usually more cramped accomodations accross Nicaragua.
Excellent family run hotel, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The grounds are lovely and a nice place to chill, with lots of wildlife. Good cheap breakfasts and meals. The rooms are basic but clean. About a kilometre outside the town, too far to walk but taxis are very cheap. Great value, we would highly recommend.
The property was a short walk from the ferry landing. When arriving late as I did this is very convenient. It is located on the main street lined with restaurants, shops, and rental places. The property itself rents scooters. The same person who owns the property owns Little Nathaly next door who rents scooters.
Very clean, well kept property. Bungalow was immaculate. The hottest shower with amazing water pressure; best I’ve had in Nicaragua. Staff were very helpful with arranging taxis and rentals. The pictures of the bungalow do not do it justice; it was very nice and well worth the price.
Very clean room and bathroom. There are multiple fans in the dorm.
Only a couple minutes walk from the ferry and the main street with restaurants and shops.
There is an outdoor area with large hammocks where you can chill in the shade.
The place is run by a friendly family.
This is a great place in the middle of nature but still relatively close to Moyogalpa. Besides the beautiful location and nice clean room, it is the owners Tony and Daniella, who make it special. Great food, a positive atmosphere. Thank you very much for the great time.
Reina was exceptional, she welcomed us to the hotel and made the most delicious dinner for us, she then woke up extra early to prepare breakfast for us before we hiked the volcano. She makes this place as incredible as it is, thank you Reina !
Very nice family, feeling at home, sad that I don't have a good Spanish to exchange more withe family!! Very clean room and good breakfast!!
Very good situation close to the ferry in Moyogalpa and to the center!
Thank you for everything
Nice location, 10 min walk from the port. Felt very secure. Owners are nice, there's free filtered water, you can book tours or rent scooters directly through the hotel. Rooms are basic but clean for Central American standards.
Amazing hostel! Clean. Staff go out if their way to help. Free coffee ☕ and drinking water available all day. The free pickup at the dock was a great service. I'll definitely return here when I'm in town again.
Clean and big room. Enough outdoor areas to sit or relax. Dorm downstairs and rooms upstairs. Easy access by walk from the pier. More quiet than hotels in the main street. Shared kitchen with enough to cook.
